I have a lvl 94 Abyss Warlock on Hell P7, when I bind Hephasto he has literally no survivability. I have lvl 21 Demon Mastery, he dies almost immediately in Chaos Sanctuary. I even cast Engorge, and he dies like he was one shot. This doesn’t seem right to me.
How many points in Blood Oath? Demon mastery doesn’t help with survivability.
With Battle Orders, lvl 19. Is P7 just too much?
I have a 97 warlock, 1 points in everything in the daemon tree with the exception of mastery which is 6. My Hephasto is unkillable, even ubers could only take perhaps ~20% of his health bar on a bad day but even that does not happen often when I farm torches.
I exclusively farm terror zones on P8, Ac5, Icy Cellar, nasty areas alike no problem and even tier 3-4 heralds with nasty auras cannot notably harm my summon.
Only reason I can think of was you accidentally bind a Normal or Exceptional demon.
Then again this update has so many bugs.
I dont see any gradual decrease in his health bar, he just disappears like he was one shot. I have all my summons on the swap weapon so it is not an accidental unsummon. I re-speced to Bind Demon from a secondary attack with Apocalypse because he was supposed to be almost unkillable. I am going to try this, bind him in P7, then revert to P1. If he gets one shot or just disappears, that might indicate it is a bug.
Are you using consume?
This is one of the most annoying thing at the moment on console… when you want to consume, you have to face toward the target daemon and your bind daemon on high level will get extra fast mod and will run around like on steroids. I often accidentally consumed him during the heat of the battle pushing multiple buttons relentlessly. I then decided to unbind consume and stopped using this skill, not worth losing Hephasto with rare auras like fanatism
My hephaisto dies only when I die…
No, I prebuff by Consuming a Defiler which lasts around 7 minutes. I spam Miasma bolt, Miasma chain, and Abyss with a Sigil:Death. Hephasto disappears well before Consume wears off.
You can consume a demon before the buff wears off.
Sometimes I consume Hephaisto accidentially…then he disappears.
