Bigger stash OR Stackable runes/gems

OKAY Gents, after deeps consideration and countless hours…

I feel that Stackable Gems/runes is gonna be critical for the Long haul on Diablo2R.
We just recently got this sharable stash, and on most everyones stream there STASH is full of Gems and runes Because they can’t stack This is gonna Minimize the amount of gear we can save in the long run and I’d Like to see stacks 5/10 just so rune Building can be a thing so I can save a full tree of runes with gems and still possibly have a few slots for a couple items. At a Minimum it should be 5 stacks. I don’t wanna see this beautiful increased stash size wasted on 1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1 Runes all over

Well yeah, I don’t get why people are against stackable gems and runes or a gem+rune stash tab. Having your stash taken up by runes and gems is annoying, reminds me of PoE before you purchase a currency tab. Should be an obvious QoL thing.

That’s my Biggest issue tbh I used to have Mules that carry Only runes and Gems 1 for Low runes 1 for low gems for high runes/gems aswell Hence they added in the sharable stash to eliminate that Work around Well LEMME ask you @Blizzard How well is that gonna work for you because there is still to much clutter I can say rn I will need 2 Mule 1+1+1+1+1 items unless we make them stackable and even then I will pry need a mule still so Make them stackable. it’s not about Making the game easier it’s about making it MORE User friendly. Imo!

This has been discussed to death… There are far more things to adjust and add to the game before stacking of gems, potions, runes, ect.

Also, they already increased the stash. Provided they allow multiple shared stash tabs, not just 1 as seen in the Alpha, this is all you should need

If they add more, then it’s not really necessary, but if it’s only one shared stash tab, I’d like to see more done with runes and gems.

Yeah, considering they added the shared stash to represent all of the mules players use, and currently we can make as many as needed, I really do hope they stay true to that intention and offer up as many tabs as we need, same as Plugy.

You don’t need to hoard that many runes. Sounds like a personal problem. That said, it wouldn’t hurt to have stackable runes and gems either. Just don’t apply it to the inventory otherwise the same people will be begging for a larger inventory.

Yeah as far as stacking in the stash I could care less. They could make uniques stackable for all I care.

But not in the inventory.

How often does it even matter if they could stack in the inventory?

You rarely ever find 2 of the same Rune/Gem before you go back to town anyways and IF you do:
Is that 1! more inventory slot you get out of it really that much of an issue?

If they make gems stackable in the inventory I will constantly carry 1 of each flawless gem on each char, and not need to do nearly as much inventory decision making. I’ll also probably carry 1 Ral and 1 Sol on most chars.

If they change stackable to inventory, they might as well get rid of durability, arrow limit, etc, etc.

For the record, if they make a new realm I couldn’t care less about these choices, but 1.14 should mostly be left alone, with minor tweaks.

Which is rather inefficient - so I don’t see any problem with you doing so.

One “no change” and one “QoL” mode would definitely be the best solution, but for some unexplainable reason there seems to be a lot of resistance against this :woman_shrugging: :thinking:

I guess honestly maybe a lot of people would be afraid the changes would be hugely popular and lower the player base of 1.14?

Personally, I’m used to a small player base in Classic and enjoy it thoroughly.

I’m playing Diablo II right now.

I don’t throw away decent stuff. I mule it. Because we can avoid doing it.
I have pure characters that only get what they find – and I have twinked characters that get good stuff from other characters and trades.

…there could be a special option at character select where you can opt for only having access to chars unique stash – and add a unique title in gold for those that complete the game without muling or using extra stash.

…and while muling has it’s own special charm, I would not weep over not having to visit “Act 2 Now” and stealthily drop items in a far away corner only to pick them up with another character or even a character on a different account…
Because I will mule regardless of changes – for many characters.
Shared stash of decent size is actually pretty great quality of life.

One half-way solution is to have a shared stash tab, but forcing characters to join a game to move items between shared stash and personal stash.
It forces the same presence of different characters into the games – for the social aspect.

Stackable runes!!! Please that would be an amazing QOL improvement. I mean remastering the game comes with changes. Purists can just play the orginal diablo II or even they could add a 100% pureist server for only the graphics upgrade toggle and everything else 100% identical to the original.

No. D2 is fine just how it is.

If you want stackable everything, D3 is waiting for you.

Naw I hate diablo 3, very dissapointing game. I would just like to express my opinion that stackable runes and charm invy both are great QOL changes. Sorry if you don’t agree but that is my opinion and the opinion of many others.

Such a dumb comment. D3 is totally different from D2. Wanting some QoL doesn’t mean that people want to play D3.

i want stackable runes and gems, there is no reason why it should not be in the game.

personally i want a bigger inventory awell, limit the inventory for charms to HALF and make it one row extra or soemthing, like 5x11

d2 original will be there for 20 more years if you dont want stackable things, using the same logic as you

Stackable tomes and keys is okay.
