Bigger Gold Stash Boxes

Can we get bigger stashes for Gold please? I get it way too fast and people want bigger quantities when they buy. I would love just a simple update where each stash has like 10-20 Million gold storage instead of just 2 which is nothing. I have to log onto and train like 5 mules just to stash a decent amount of Gold. Please please make this happen.

What is that gold used for?
I don’t think there’s an intrinsic issue with current size, but I don’t think increasing it would be an issue either, so I’m curious what those amounts of gold are used for.

gambling (people actually do that :o )
repairs
ressing your merc
that’s it?!

That’s also how I usually use my gold (especially resurrecting the merc, which seems to be made of porcelain).

Raise stash cap and the amount a player can pickup at once in my opinion. Nothing wrong with allowing longer gambling sessions.

Nope, we can’t. There reasons why things are limited. If your problem is having too much gold I wonder why you want to have more gold.
Just stop hoarding and spend your gold.
Issue solved.

Split gold stash in separate shared tabs, and very limited gold stash (10m overall is not enough considering prices of items, if anything it should be 10B), is not ideal. Whats the purpose other than causing annoyance and burden?

The core of the game is still 32 bit, and the value of a signed 32bit integer ranges from -2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647. The integer variable for gold must be signed, otherwise the integer would underrun when trying to buy something without enough gold. As far as what an integer underrun is, an example would be a cars odometer at 000000, if rolled backwards, it would roll back to 999999.

A flat 2 billion would be more than plenty though.

OK, if game coding limitation is 2b, its a lot more reasonable than 2.5m separated into 4 stashes 3 of which then have to then be added into primary stash to utilize in gambling.

Its rather inconsequential though anyways. Gamble Bonus shows us gambling billions still equals no top gg items, so may as well wait for free gamble bonus a couple times at the end of the year

The only plausible reason I can think of why they made separate gold stashes for each shared stash is due to game code limitations and/or unknowns of the game code. To them, the mid to late 90’s style of spaghetti coding is likely foreign to them… The work they did with remastering D2:R with the original game code was likely a meticulous and painstakingly slow job. Plus the source code they have for the game was a mix and match patchwork job from Blizzard North due to losing the games source code from a server crash… They had to piece the games source code together using the code from the computers each dev was working on. Diablo 2 was that close to being cancelled. No doubt a valuable lesson to the devs of the importance of maintaining backups of valuable data.

And these reasons are?

or perhaps 1b per each stash tab ( as theese don’t add up anywhere)
and 1b on the character ( and that is from lvl1, so i wouldn’t need to lvl up a mule to store enaugh gold).

personal stash tab and character gold add up on merchant tabs like shops and gambling, and this as well must not exceed 2b due to reasons someone mentioned above.
the 1b+1b is a better system since:
#1 gambling and vendors won’t trigger a bug of overblown intiegers
#2 since the character would be capable of equippng 1b the shuffling between each stash page wouldn’t be as cumbersome as it is right now. even gold trade would be simple:
1.drop personal gold
2. pickup whole gold from personal stash& drop it on the ground
3. pickup gold from first shared stash & drop it on the ground
4. pick up gold from second shared stash & drop it on the ground
5. pick up gold from third shhared stash & drop it on the ground
6. collect payment for the gold

six easy steps for the transaction, no more extensive gold shoveling…

Look at other items, why can we carry only 20 scrolls in a tome? And why is a stack of keys only 12 keys? Why is the inventory limited?

D2 want you to manage your stuff.

Before D2R you had only 2.5 + wallet on a char. Now we can even fill the shared tabs.
It actually gives you a huge advantage compared to LoD.
There you couldn’t save your gold from dying. IMO it took away a little piece of d2’s “hurdles”.

Just gamble your gold away… problem solved!

you need to learn to gamble bro.
