Better solution for choosing the difficulty please!

When creating/entering a game via the button “Play”, after unlocking higher difficulty levels, the query should not come again every time and ask which difficulty you want to select.
After all, it is much more likely that you will continue to play in the difficulty level you have already reached and / or which you are currently playing.
That you want to switch to a different level of difficulty with every new session is probably rather unlikely.

The state-of-the-art solution and a real QoL feature would be easy, to replace the difficulty level selection window with a drop-down menu next to the “Play” button where you can select the difficulty level. Of course, the drop-down should remember the last manually selected setting per character.

Another, and also a better solution would be, to do it exactly as it is already implemented for the game creation in the lobby, where you simply have the 3 difficulty levels as a button, and the game remembers the last setting.

You do realize MF runs in lower difficulty are incredibly common and what every character must do until they are geared enough to MF in hell?

What kinda noob post is this? Nah u aint allowed to do NM meph runs.

Do you know NM andy has a higher chance to drop a soj than on hell? no, right? Cuz you aint know anything about the game.

I don’t know about other people, but I’m constantly entering games at different difficulty levels, so implementing the change that you metion would be a drawback to me.

What are you on about? I switch difficulty all the time… That would be anoying…

Hijacking the conversation. My “still evolving” Hammerdin is at 200% MF (thanks to a 100% MF Dirk). Sadly I’m stuck in Hell Act 2 (Invulnerable to Magic).

I wanted to go back to Nightmare and do boss runs until I find better gear / level my Holy Freeze merc more. Would you recommend otherwise (Hell runs in Act 1 or anything else)?
