Bet they make Act3 easy getting to Kurast

I see so many posts where people want to make D2R the easier D2.

The worst act almost everyone agrees is act3, (between leaving town and getting to Lower Kurast.)

The maps are a little broken but after 15 years one gets used to it.

One new post wants a D3 RoRG.
Another wants there to be no difference between a new Season and NS or SP.

D2 is a bottomless pit of change possible.
But why ruin the game?

Because they can.
Llama is the kind of guy that has to touch the wheel.
He can’t leave it alone even if it’s perfect.

I love the start of a new season running through Act’s 1 & 2.

But then we get to Act3 town and have to figure out the way to Kurast.

I saw a webpage a long time ago that said the dev’s kinda didn’t get the time to fix those first maps out of town to Lower Kurast.

I play a fire druid, Act 3 is one of my favourite acts

Strange…i thought i have bought d2r, not d2…

I honestly really enjoy act 3, honestly. Just played through it tonight on a strafezon, fast, easy, fun, enjoyable. Though I still think it’s stupid the change they’re doing to make rushes take a few more minutes or whatever. It’s just so unnecessary.

D2R is D2. D2R would not be possible without D2.

Your post is meaningless.

Except its not perfect, its far from it.

Ehmm… You basicly go up, and you’re eventuialy there. Also it kind of grabs the fantasy of going through a vast jungle, that you can easily get lost in. I like A3. Yes it takes time, but it’s not like you have to kill and explore everything on the map. Just RUN FOREST RUN!!!

So why do i have both? Straaaange…

Nah…trying to dictates how d2r will be based on d2 “insert any patch here” is even more neaningless

Most of the changes proposed, wouldn’t. Its that simple.

  • Stacking runes, keys, gems, and other “trade goods.”
  • Allowing druid to have all their summons out.
  • Rebalance damage immunities, either by providing more avenues to “break” them, or reducing their amount.
  • Improve loot drop rate, either by buffing MF or my preferred way would be cube recipes to upgrade rares and convert set items.
  • Add Countess rune drops to Summoner and Nihlathak.

Those are just the ones I’d like. It wouldn’t ruin the game. If you’d quit because of any of these changes, then I question your love for D2.

Good change

Not necessary with 2.4 buffs

Every class can kill all game content if they go dual spec. Just because people play single ability max synergy doesn’t mean we should nerf immunes

Don’t like MF buff, depends what you mean in upgrading rares.

Decent change for key farming

Not the point. No one does that. They just farm the areas they can, and don’t ever think about going to the places where they’re inefficient. This is what makes it a bad design, and needs to be improved on.

I disagree.

The whole point is that D2 isn’t the “greatest” ARPG. It was popular because options were extremely limited. From 2000-2010 there weren’t any ARPGs. Everything was an MMO, and graphics were still poor enough that gaming had not gone mainstream. Now we get an ARPG every year. Most have features that D2 would be great with.

If you’re hopeful that Ladder or 2.4 is going to draw a large amount of people who bought the game and have left, you’re sadly mistaken. I could be wrong, but I really doubt it. The core reasons people have quit, with no intention to return, is the oppressive loot distribution, and mechanics like damage immunities.

That’s how the game was originally designed and that’s how they are balancing 2.4 so I beg to differ

If you have put the hours into 2.4 like I have. Dual spec is incredibly strong

Now that dual spec is strong you can clear all mobs in all the new 85 areas with ease with no limitations from immunes
