If anyone out there hunting Shako, the best place to find them is in the Tamoe Highlands.I had 3 on a mule and now I have like 15 unid shakos just chillin there after starting pit runs and 12 of them are from running to the pits…I would suggest anyone looking for the best place for them to drop Tamoe Highlands in Hell seems like the hot spot, nowhere else have I found nearly as many and this is just a boss pack, maybe 2 on the way to the pits.Not even clearing the Highlands.Just a suggestion

I have found 6 shakos on act 1 in general. 2 in cold plains, 1 in the tower, and 3 in catacombs.

I haven’t found one yet, but then again it’s so late in the season I don’t care anymore. 
Ive seen plenty of white, magic and rare ones! I found a frickin Windforce. Game RNG said “No shako 4 u! Muahalol!!”

Rng can give false drop rates.
What’s good for you isnt for others because %chance to drop is exactly that.
I wouldn’t give people false information as to the “best” place to farm based off what you found.
The only “best” places to farm are the ones that have the most unique packs and champion packs that your hero can clear the fastest/have the most fun fighting.

apparently someone is new to diablo lol, doesnt even know what loot tables are. Pretty sad for you to give advice about telling me im giving “false information” when you have zero idea how loot tables work.Oooofffff.Unfortunately some people will read your comment and think RNG is simply RNG.The answer is far more complex than that.Sorry to tell you.There are in fact better places to farm certain gear.You want to farm for SOJs you probably think the best difficulty is hell.Its actually Nightmare.I hope you have learned something today.
The best place to farm a soj in Andy due to clear time and drop table 1/29 unique ring and how quickly you can do an Andy run specifically.
But
Farming a shako can be done faster based off mob density combined with drop rate
Tamoe highland being a lower unique pack density even if they have a higher drop rate
You can kill higher density unique areas faster than tamoe thus making the overall drop rate better in other places.

But the point of my post was that just because some random finds 15 shakos in one area doesn’t factually make it the best place to farm them.
You should know this.
I could get 3 SOJs off 3 nightmare Baal runs and think that’s the best place to farm SOJs
But we know the RNG plays a massive factor in it
The actual drop rates are in essence based off the concept of perfect odds, even though if the chances are 1/100 something will drop that doesn’t mean you can’t get 5 in 100 or 0 in 1000000
