Hi everyone. Item lvl is 45. Hell difficulty is not an option yet. I need to make an Honor runeword with that scepter 'cos I’m finding even the Den of Evil to be too challenging. Also, since Hell areas start at lvl 68, my odds are actually lower in Hell right?

So, what’s the actual best option, on area and monster? Or at least something that narrows it down, please?

Divine Scepter is ilvl 45 so it can drop from about the Lost City in nightmare on. I don’t know of anywhere where it is more likely to drop than anywhere else. Because there are more monsters the act 3 areas with Flayers might be a good place. Also nightmare cows but your clvl is too low for there.
The Den of Evil in Hell is Lvl 79. Hardly surprising a Lvl 45 has trouble even on players 1.

I said ITEM level is 45. Not my character’s level. That’s 76. Is it even possible to finish NM with a lvl 45 hero in players8?
What do you think of Silospen’s drop calc, for that? I already did NM Cow Level. On players4 difficulty, as it was too hard on my usual players8. No useful drops aside from gems.
I thought it had become useless for farming (as I had read). So, I killed the Cow King. And now it turns out it would’ve been useful to keep it available for farming. YAY.
Sorry about that, I misunderstood. I’d try nightmare cows then, but you might need to do a few of them to get an exceptional scepter to drop. They aren’t all that common. If you are in Res you can still access the cows after killing the king. If not, wherever you can get kills easily.
Nevermind. I tried, and I can get back to the cow level just fine. I also can handle it at players8, if I’m careful. Didn’t seem possible, before. I have to spend much on Weaken charges, but it’s worth it.
