Best build setups for item find characters

Hey as some of you maybe saw, i did playthrough with sorc here :

I can decide which character to play next so help me decide.

I am trying to find most optimal way how to level up build focused on finding items for every class but suitable for hardcore too and to finish game.

If any of you have some suggestions and character progress how to start and when to respec to what i will really appretiate it. Builds should be viable for soloselfound play also.

I have some ideas but i dont claim to know everything so maybe there will be some god tips i could use.

Oh and preferably build should use only one respec.

Don’t have time to put in specifics but

My favorite ladder start character is a trapsin. With fade they need very little gear to be viable. They are tanks. You no longer have to worry about dying to gloams and dolls, she will soak the damage no problem. Use hlthe cheap harmony runeword on switch with burst of speed to rub almost as fast as someone teleporting

You can farm pits early on with ease. Make sure to almost max fire blast. That’s what you will use to kill lightning inmunes. Lightning sentry as your main attack. Lay one death sentry for corpse explosion. And sprinkle some shock webs in with quick cast. Use cloak of shadows on archers. Mind blast harder packs.

So survivable it almost feels like cheating.

Is best to start with fire traps or as kicksin and then later respec to lightning traps? Charged attacks and kicks were always so strong early on and now its also buffed.

Fire traps, wake of fire, is easiest to start, respec to lit around 45-50. If you need a build I can post the maxroll a bit later.

Isn’t pitzerker the best farming char?

I usually start with a trapper and/or a summoner. Both are not reliant on gear and can solo hell and have easy builds for normal. No Telly so farming times are slower than a Sorc.

Well zerker yeah if you have eni, but you can make barb for pindle too, its pretty effective.

If you wanna go really tryhard then trav barb with 2 double ali babas on switch with 2 ists is the way.

I do this mainly for testing best ways hot to make char for MF if it is your first character as I want it as part of my MF guide.

Why are you trying to reinvent the wheel here? There are lots of Diablo 2 guides out there that still apply to D2:R.

I recently did a no respec plague javeling + charged strike + lightning strike zon (not exactly finishged - stopped before hell ancients because i need another level to get a valkyrie point to use peace and defeat them)

Pretty decent. I went very greedy with MF (tarnhelm, 3xPtopaz armor, hands feet all focused on MF) so it was kinda hard in hell with lots of going to town for pots. But getting even a Peace armor, a point in Valkyrie, Lore helmet - that would make it way easier.

Overall highly recommended, fun dual spec build. And make sure to use and abuse a lower resist wand.

Why even use fire traps???
It is ladder start. 95% will play sorc.
100.000 games. Sorc will carry you.

Fire traps do ludicrous damage through normal and most of nightmare, the sorcs “carry” by being able to teleport ahead and drop portals.

Sorc carry because of godlike damage. 90% Blizzard sorc players. Insane damage

As a fire trapper I’m generally carrying the sorcs. If they are a fireball sorc they can generally hang with me but most of the time I’m carrying a full game of sorcs. Sure when they hit lvl 30, get insight etc they take over but between lvl’s 1-30 they are happy to let me carry. Both my trapper and Summoner carry games.

So what? I would like to make my own, with my own tips and stuff

Best MF is still blizzard sorc or Barb as Mephisto is still the best MF location in terms of efficiency. Mephisto also has only 20 physical resistance in hell. Dual Alis on switch to finish Mephisto.

For pure speed prior to having high runes, hammerdin is king.

So go read the one’s online and make your own… you don’t need to come here and ask for tips when everything that everyone knows is already out there.

Like… you do what you want, but coming here asking for other people to give you tips is just you being to lazy to search the internet. You won’t get anything from us here that hasn’t already been posted elsewhere dozens of times.

You dont know that. I have some knowledge about game I have not seen pretty much anywhere.

Definitely not in majority of guides.

Right… because you figured out something that NOBODY ELSE HAS IN 20 YEARS… okay… whatever you say.

I didnt say that, but i have seen a lot of guides and seen a lot of stuff missing there.

So it does exist elsewhere, and you just want to reinvent the wheel then? Gotcha!
