Assuming you need it for PvE Phase Blade.
Don’t really PvP much myself and if I do it’s usually low level so not sure why, but in PvP I heard some or most prefer Berzerker Axe.
But the base speed of Phase Blade is much better and base damage doesn’t matter that much with Grief, so speed is king.

the answer is absolutely phaseblade. Forget superior. Forget anything. Any 5 socket phaseblade will do.
If you roll the minimum values, you still have by far the strongest weapon in the game. The fastest base in existence, and indestructable are simple mod cons. PB always.

phase blade is the best for greif, hands down
the only other option is berserker axe and that’s only for getting the +1 more range in pvp in certain matchups.
but really… just use phase blade.
its like 10x better than any other option

i think it depend of what char you play?
most of i see in phaseblade, if you plan to trading it, pb chance to trade are better. im not sure about grief in pike. i could wrong definetly

Why do they use Beserker Axe for PvP? Is it the higher base damage (While being 1 handed)?

Phase Blade is number one option for Grief. Grief Berserker Axe is only good in pvp when paired with beast ba in WW barb. Make it in a phase blade.

technically smiters use it too, again for the longer range… it makes a difference in specific matchups
