Base weapon damage needs 3x increase

for hustle or anything to work well for early on physical dmg builds. We DEMAND increase on all melee/bows in the game by 3x the amount. We are not talking about Enhanced Damage. We need weapon base DMG increased 3x the amount. Hustle would be a great starter bow if it did more damage.

Less blizz sorcs, more 1.09 BOWAzons!!!

No we don’t. I mean crossbows and underused 2-handed weapons do need a boost, but keep it to underused weapon types and keep it small for now.

nice opinion. But I speak for everyone.

I agree that base damages should be increased slightly while removing some of the +damage from grief to compensate x3 is not something WE demand.

Again, no, you don’t. What is the reason behind this change? It’s just not sensible.

to make bowazons and other melee characters do a decent amount of physical damage earlier on

Agreed. If weapon base damage was universally increased enough to bring phase blade to approximately 100 damage, then this would balance Griefs flat damage bonus, when compared to enhanced damage.

It may seem like a lot, but weapons damage performance currently does not compare to caster damage performance.

and “nerf” grief, comparatively at least.

Earlier on I can understand a bit more, but not a broad base x3 on base weapon damages.

On top of boosting damage on slower 2-hander weapons, I would consider working +damage into melee based skills as an alternative, for example how magic arrow works. Apply this same mechanic to other skills like double swing, double throw, bash, stun, whirlwind, strafe, frenzy, fury, fend.

Right now, skill points into melee based skills feel unrewarding, with the exception of multishot really.

This change would also go some small way to address the grief imbalance.

melee is bad WITH grief, nerfing it helps no one.

the problem is all the other weapons are even worse.

The stats will stay the same, just the rune requirements would be different.

no dude, leave it alone. They need to increase stuff up towards it. Theres no reason why a super rare item like Grandfather can’t be almost as good as a grief. its far more rare and useless. The details need to be more so focused on that .

Your opinions are too complicated for this team. The easy way is to make all base items 3x more the damage.

no, this is a terrible idea

buffing non bow/throwing weapons by 15-20% could be fine, but anything more than that starts to cause issues

Maybe a 50% increase for 1 Hander base damage and 100 for two handers. 3 times would make the game way to easy.

That would be totaly insane. I am playing offline with 50% increaes and thats too much in some cases already.

also Ona…removing Eth rune from Grief is a terrible idea…that rune help massively with the Attack Rating problem…Tir is the better option to replace if they ever do that

although i’d rather they just dont touch the runeword at all

I’m not saying remove -25% target defense on Grief, just replace the runes but keep all the mods the same.
