Barbarian - What would you change in skills?

My thoughts;

Bash

  • Increases knock back distance with each level
  • Provides momentary ( In the range of 1/2-1 second ) burst of speed after each hit
    ( the concept being that you can quickly charge your opponent for another hit after having knocked them back with bash )
    • Similar to frenzy, each level provides a greater faster run/walk and attack speed.
  • Receives synergy bonus from stun, providing
    • knock backed opponent causes area damage (base percent + percent per level ) to enemies in a short radius of the original knocked back opponent.

Stun

  • Ignores opponents faster hit recovery rate OR reduces opponents faster hit recovery rate by 24% + 4 per level%

Concentrate

  • Synergy changed from bash to shout (considering concentrate is a defense-based skill)

Shout

  • Receive synergy from Taunt, providing an additional 3% bonus to defense per level
    ( To provide greater survivability to the synergy-intensive Frenzy build, which when full-damage synergies utilized, does not have availability for life/defense bonus skills and cannot utilize a shield)

Iron Skin

  • 5% to maximum physical damage reduction
  • Receive synergy bonus from shout, providing a physical damage reduced bonus of 3% every 4 levels up to 15%

Combine Increased Stamina and increased speed

  • Increase faster run / walk speed bonus, equalling
    • levels 1 - 15%
    • levels 2 to 4 - 5% increase per level ( 20 - 30% )
    • levels 5 to 8 - 3% increase per level ( 33 - 42% )
    • levels 9 to 14 - 2 % increase per level ( 44 - 54% )
    • levels 15 to 20 - 1% increase per level ( 55 - 60% )
    • levels 21 and up - 1% increase per every 2 levels
  • Reduce frenzy faster run / walk speed bonus by 20 to account for the above
  • Provides synergy bonus to Battle Orders, providing additional maximum life
    (See Below ) (also with the synergy-intensive Frenzy build in mind)
  • Provides synergy bonus to double throw, see below

Natural Resistance

  • Increase
    • levels 1 to 4 - 10% increase per level ( 10 - 40% )
    • levels 5 to 8 - 5% increase per level ( 45 - 60% )
    • levels 9 to 16 - 3 % increase per level ( 63 - 85% )
    • levels 17 to 21 - 2% increase per level ( 87 - 115% )
    • levels 22 and up - 1% increase per level (116 +% )
      AND OR
  • Increase maximum elemental resistances by 1% per every 4 levels up to 5%

Leap attack

  • Receive synergy bonus from Increased stamina / speed, increasing the speed of leap attack by 12% per level ( 240% overall leap-speed increase)

Berserk

  • Receive synergy bonus from Whirlwind, providing 20% attack rating bonus per level (Large bonus to compromise the lack of defense)

Battle Orders

  • Receive synergy bonus from Berserk, providing an additional percent bonus to max life (Considering Berserk eliminates defense leaving the character very vulnerable)
  • Receive synergy bonus from Increased Stamina / Speed, providing an additional percent bonus to max life ( Primarily to help damage synergy intensive Frenzy Build )
    • level 1 - 5%
    • levels 2 to 5 - 2% increase per level ( 7 - 15% )
    • levels 6 - 10 - 1% increase per level ( 16 - 20% )
    • levels 11 - 20 - 1% per every two levels ( 16 - 25% )

Whirlwind

  • Can proc casts on “strike” ( based on a percentage of the cast on strike percent chance due to hit frequency of whirlwind )

Combine Find Potion and Find Item ( Find Item already produces potions )

Grim Ward

  • No longer requires a corpse to create totem
  • Enemies momentarily freeze in fear, rather than flee in fear
  • Combined find potion / item acts as synergy

Double Throw

  • Enhanced damage functions to Increase the damage of throwing potions
  • Receives synergy from increased stamina / increased speed, providing
    • 3% faster run / walk per every 2 levels up to 30%

Throwing mastery

  • Increase the range of throwing weapons
  • Enhanced damage functions to increase the damage of throwing potions

Combine Axe, Blade, Mace, Polearm, and Spear, masteries into one single “Melee Mastery”, providing:

  • The existing mastery bonus
  • Up to a 15% (overall) Defense Bonus when dual wielding, and 15% chance of deadly strike, or utilizing a single two-hand melee weapon
  • Up to 23% chance of open wounds when using axe, or blade, or javelin along with a shield
  • Up to 23% chance of crushing blow when using mace / hammer along with a shield

Addition of new mastery “Weapon Block”

  • Increases block rate by 10% + 2% every 3 levels
  • Passive chance to block when you are duel wielding or using two-hand weapons (including dual wield for double throw )
    • Level 1 - 14% chance to block
    • Levels 2 to 6 - 3% increase per level ( 17 to 29% )
    • Levels 7 to 12 - 2% increase per level ( 31 to 41% )
    • Levels 13 - 20 - 1% increase per level ( 42 to 49% ) ( Max )

Addition of new mastery “Weapon Dexterity” that provides

  • Additional range ( up to +1 for blades, +2 for axes, maces, + 3 for polearms and spears (extending up to 3 points beyond the normal max of 5 )) ( 1 additional range every 6 levels up to the maximum for each weapon type )
  • 9 to 32% Increased Attack Speed
  • 48% + 2% per every level bonus to attack rating

Addition of new mastery “Armament Care” that provides

  • Reduces equiptment durability Loss by 50% + 2% per level up to 75%
  • 9 to 18 % Chance of critical strike ( well sharpened weapons ) ( 9% + 1 % per every two levels up to 18% )
  • 50% + 3 percent chance every 2 levels ( up to 100% chance ) to REPAIR DURABILITY ON CRITICAL STRIKE ( allows for a whole new range of end-game item choices - utilizing ethereal options that do not have self-repair or indestructible stat )
    ( a class known for scavenging corpses for used-items should also have potential skill to repair items)

Addition of new mastery “Warcries Mastery” ( taking the place of the consolidated Find Potion / Find Item )

  • Increases the damage of War Cry by 2.5% per level up to 100% (overall damage bonus)
  • Increases the duration of Shout, Battle Orders, and Battle Command by 10 seconds per level

War Cry

  • Ignores opponents faster hit recovery rate OR reduces opponents faster hit recovery rate by 24% + 4 per level%
  • Reduce Taunt synergy damage bonus from 6 to 2 percent per level ( See above - to balance the defense synergy bonus provided by taunt )
  • Is unblockable / always hits ( PVP )
    OR
  • Can Proc casts on “strike” ( based on a percentage of the cast on strike percent chance due to hit frequency of war cry ) (this would provide a wide range of diversity in the Singer Build )

( Considering level 51 war cry, these changes would allow an 80 point skill investment into warcries synergies and new mastery to provide a;

  • Rougly 18% increase in overall war cry damage if using max taunt to gain defense synergy bonus for shout ( above ) ( option suited to pvp )
  • Roughly 50% increase in overall war cry damage if using either max battle cry or howl rather than taunt

Battle command

  • Eliminate the +seconds per level bonus.
  • 1 to all skills
