(Balance/Necromancer) concern about change lists from PTR

Hi everyone !
I wanna talk about balance update in PTR server, especially, Necromancer’s skills

I already checked about change lists about necromancer’s skill in advance,
But, It will be extremely outrageous update for all of user who is enjoying PvP contents

Now, Let’s talk about damage of Bone Spear skill

Currently, Necromancer has good position in PvP contents between all characters.
(Frankly speaking, a little stronger than others)

It caused due to damage type of necromancer’s skill.
You know, every of bone skill is magic type and opponents character cannot protect themselves about this damage type.
Because there is no magic reduce (%) items in this game.

If Bone spear skill level will increased after PTR, It may affect balance of PvP contents.
Every of user does not want to play game with Necromancer.
Imagine that all characters killed by 1 or 2shots of bone spear skill. Do you think it is happy situation for PvP users?

Yes, Most of user enjoying PvE and bone skill-tree need to get more advantage compare than other type.
But, why don’t you check / consider re-design of “curse” skills ? (instead of bone skill buff)

For example, make “lower resist” skill can be reduce magic resistance of monster.
It can make small (better than now) buff for every of bone skill
and, it does not affect balance of PvP.

Please, do not destruct our PvP contents which is sustain since 10 years ago

We’re not there yet. Database PTR is running rn. You can test PvP when 2.4 PTR starts. I’m curious about what the PvP community will say.

I couldnt care less about pvp as d2 pvp is just a scrap of what was intended
I hope you guys get some love

But for me me pvp balance should not come before pve balance

Currently, Necromancer is too strong in PVP.
All characters except druid are being overwhelmed by the necromancer.
Magic reduce (%) item exist but only in crafted shields.
No one use that kind of shield.
The damage of bone spirit should be rather weakened.

Sorry, now it is opened and it is really terrible patch that I expected,
bone spirit skill is really overpower during PvP especially, melee characters
I hope blizzard should realize it is wrong direction for PvP users

Of course PVE is important content.
However, in most games, the final content is pvp, and this is also true of D2.
We have to compromise pvp and pve to get mutually acceptable results.

Sry but i tend to see the most popular mode as endgame and sure it isnt pvp

Do you have any basis for your claim?
How do you calculate the percentage of people who enjoy pvp?
it’s just your guess and there are a lots of pvp players.

Most created games are pve, some trade and after those two is pvp games
Asked one friend in Russia and another in New Zeland if the pattern is the same and it is
Sure it isnt some scientific process but i doubt you have any data to support your claim either

The last content Blizzard mentioned is hardcore.
Is there more hardcore population than pvp? I think it’s not.
The one with the highest connection rate is the Asian server. This fact is stated by Blizzard and cannot be refuted.
And on the Asian server, 8~9 pk rooms are full even after 2 am.
Unlike hunting, the pk room enter once and plays for several hours.
And the amount of trade room is very small.
It is official that the end of an rpg-based game is pvp or a boss raid with multiple players.
Does d2 have any content worthy of being called a boss raid?

And also, there are several rooms for 4vs4 team pvp every day.

there is problably 500-1000 players doing pve content solo and multiplayer for each pvp room you mentioned bc its asia, they have the numbers for it
Sry but d2 pvp has always been a niche
Not saying people dont have fun doing it

500~1000 people you mentioned, how many people do you think have never played pvp?

Dont know, dont think it matters
All i know is…
certainly there is less people doing pvp than pve right now or any time of the day

No, it’s really not. PvP is an afterthought. Always has been always will be. It’s never been balanced.

Even if what you say is true, that’s not a reason to stop balancing.
