Last night I was hosting baal runs on my Sorc and had full parties every game.
Another sorc joined and started doing lower kurast chest farming.
I was mildly annoyed they were using my game to farm and not helping our xp bonus (ie the intention of public baal games).
I thought, well there is a pvp option so I’ll utilize my pvp solution to the problem. Little did I know that you cannot use waypoints once you hostile someone? I tried a few variations but could not go kill him for using my game.
Then he left game early as I was trying to hunt him, and he stole the next numerical game name from my titled game. So I of course got the error at creation and was locked for a minute (as did everyone else who was baaling with me). And it killed the run.
So not only was he being a pest in my games, he was able to destroy me and 6 other players continued baal runs.
Is there a better pvp solution that I’m unaware of? Hoping the lockout timer is removed shortly so this doesn’t happen to others.
Youre complaining about someone coming to Magic Find in a Public game? the answer is easy. Make a private game for your runs.
It boggles my mind that people get upset about others joining their games for the purpose of Magic Find, when the loot increases with the amount of players. It’s no different than someone leeching off a Baal run. They have no purpose to that game other than leeching.
the magic finder is leeching the players for the increased loot.
Cows are better for xp farming imho. If you’re Baal running for mf him being there still helps the player count.
And you can use waypoint after going hostile there is just a 15 second cooldown or something.
The game name is “Baal run XX” not “MF and Chill.” if you come into a game with the sole intention of not doing what the game is advertised for, I think people are entitled to feel slight annoyance, or even use the in-game tools to mitigate it, such as pvp.
Its causing problems for people who want the same community that existed 20 years ago, modern blizzard community is pretty much a bunch of trolls or people mimicking Twitch streamers.
Well sure, i have been in games where 9 people were doing their MF runs and it was too much. Worst are people who kill your quests bosses. I consider it rude.
I am joining full games also, mostly to level up but, sometimes MF but i dont destroy quests for others.
