AVX Issues / Game Launches, then Crashes on Older Processors (CPU)

Well according to the email I got saying my pc is under the requirements and not just because of avx…low and behold avx gets fixed and it works perfectly. Shows it was a scapegoat saying it doesn’t meet min spec… glad it’s sorted now, just need to get the rest of us on

Working fine after patch
Thx devs

You’re video card drivers need updated badly, they are from 2018…

Nvidia releases a new set every month, keep them up to date.

ps :
i7-860
GTX 770 2GB

Working for me now. Finally.

AMD Phenom II X6 1100T

AMD phenom II x4 955 + 1050ti - working fine

It stopped working for me get stuck on a black screen with cursor at launch and throws up this error in the bliz-log:

NVIDIA DLSS not available on this hardward/platform., FeatureInitResult = 0xbad00000, info: NVSDK_NGX_Result_Fail

I have Video Card: RTX 3070 , CPU: I7 - 10700 …its practically brand new system… i don’t get it.

Drivers are up to date.

cual parche? como actualizo los driver?

Hey Everyone,

Too many replies since I last checked and can’t reply individually, so I’ll try and sum up the most common causes I saw.

Most of the people I saw that are mentioning still crashing after the patch either have:

  1. Unsupported graphics card
  2. Very old drivers

If you fall into one of these categories please create a separate forum post. This thread is for the AVX issues and we don’t want to derail the topic into other types of issues. Be sure to include a DxDiag and any error codes that appear during the crash. Opening a ticket with our support team is also a good idea. Just note that a reply may take a bit due to the current queue time.

The graphics card requirement is rather strict and at the moment only discrete AMD and Nvidia graphics card that at least meet our minimum requirements will run the game. If you have a integrated graphics card then it is not supported. We have heard that some of the more recent integrated graphics cards have been able to run the game, but are still crashing after a period of time. In short, if you do not meet the minimum requirements for the graphics card, then the game will likely crash at some point.

If you do meet requirements be sure to update your graphics drivers either via AMD’s or Nvidia’s website to search for the drivers. Older graphics drivers will have trouble running the game. If your graphics card does not have any recent drivers from this year then it likely is not supported.

I also saw some mention of the Visual C++ update. Windows usually handles this by itself, but you are always welcome to try and manually update them as others have suggested. In general though having Windows 10 updated is a good idea. We have seen some of the much older versions of Windows have issues with the game.
