the reason blizzard took off was because the games they made ran on a broad spectrum of computers, people could play with friends like diablo, now that its activision owned its about pushing out as much crap as fast as you can, yeah blizzard wasnt perfect, but i always talked highly of them
I wonder how much communication is really happening between community managers and developers. The ticket I have submitted are consistent with early statements that AVX is not a requirement, that this is infact an error of their own that is being resolved. Todays post directly contradicts this and earlier posts.

I really really really was looking forward to playing. I was hoping for a fix sooner. I have requested a refund until the game is fixed. Super sadge. To lose out on peak d2r release hype is lackluster bleh

There is no doubt this is a serious f up but have they came out and said so much? No. Just blaming the people who purchased saying they are below minimum spec. Alot of respect lostā¦

Even better, minimum CPU they list for intel is IntelĀ® Core i3-3250, launched Q2 2013. So is that anything after that processor is supported? G6600 released Q2 2020 doesnāt support AVX but would seem to meet their minimum specs.
Guess they should start listing instruction sets instead of arbitrary CPUs like a bunch of dinguses.

Wow, I am so glad they are taking such good care of us with their broken game. It looks like they can spend the entire day doing speed runs, when in reality they need to fix their broken game.
Stop posting on THEIR forums. Make it known on social media.
These two statements are colliding, just good ol classic Blizzard f**ckery at work, donāt BS your customers, just be honest and donāt sell misleading products that work fine pre launch.

This update make no sense. They are saying itās minimum requirements but then go onto say it was inadvertently put it. It canāt be both. If it was inadvertently put in why is it a requirement? Refund requested, this is nonsense.

Not me with a bit higher specs than the recommended requirements to play Diablo 2, just for blizzard to blame us for having lower CPUās with no avx

you are asking for way to much, they plan on giving the run around for as long as it takes, it was we need a few more days to fix now its we need a few more days to fix, why donāt they stop lying and just tell us they screwed us over? because they enjoy doing what they do and they enjoy silencing anyone who calls them out on it.

Are they implying newer processors canāt handle the lack of AVX? Because beta didnāt have it, and nobody had these issues.
Iām not understanding the hesitancy to fix this.
We already know the results of disabling it, you had 2 betas of test results, why do you need more? It works fine without it. What āoptimizationsā do people with brand new cpus need when our 12 year old ones dominate this game already?
