The in game audio bypasses my computer altogether. Even if I turn all computer audio off, the game audio is still playing. I cant turn it up or down outside of the game. How do I fix this?
Howdy!
It sounds like the game is either set too or picking up the wrong audio device as your default. I recommend the following 3 steps:
-
Restart the PC into selective startup following the steps Here. This step will simply tell the PC not to load background programs that normally load up when you log into windows, to help us narrow down a third-party software conflict. Restart the PC.
-
Once back into windows goto: C:\Users*YourWindowsUserNAME*\Saved Games\Diablo II Resurrected Once in this folder only delete the Settings.Json file. This step will reset the game back to default settings.
-
Before retesting the game press (Windows key + R) Type in: control mmsys.cpl sounds
Check both the Playback tab, and make sure to right-click and select: Set as Default Device for the device you want to play the game’s sound.
Thank you!
