Is there any way to swap which device Diablo 2 outputs sound onto? I can only seem to get it to use the Default communications device. I have tried using Virtual audio cable , with both windows 10 sound settings to choose channel and eartrumpet to change channels. Tried disabling all other devices and getting d2 to hook onto the VAC as its the default device with all others off. I can’t think of any other solutions. Has anyone gotten D2 to output sound onto a device other than default communications?

Been having the same issue.
I’ve had to just manually switch the audio output every single time I load the game up.
Definitely not ideal. I wish they added a source select in the Audio options of the game.

Have you guys ever used a windows app called ear trumpet, if you launch the game then run it , you could use the switch button to switch output source. I know this is a 3rd party solution but it worked for me.
Eartrumpet is available in the Microsoft store for free.
