Attack Speed Question

Hello Diablo Fans!

I am writing today with questions about how attack speed is actually calculated.

I use two attack speed calculators… one does not give me the option to input “weapon +attack speed” and the other does.

Both give me the same breakpoints! They seem to ignore the 20% attack speed on my weapon.

So my question is, how is attack speed directly on the weapon taken into account when calculating overall attack speed?

Another question I have is how much Ias do I want when wielding a colossus crossbow mist with level 10 fanaticism?

What are those two calculators? I’ve used Warren’s IAS calculator (D2 IAS Calculator) for a long time, but you can also view attack speed information in Maxroll’s build planner when you make a build.

Generally, it’s treated like any other attack speed source: they add up with every other IAS from gear. If dual wielding with weapons that both have attack speed, only the attack speed on the weapon that lands the hit is counted, I think.

78% IAS across all gear (including Mist) gets the maximum attack speed of 11fpa with normal attack for an Amazon.

That helps me a lot. I didn’t know how to factor in the 20 from mist.

I used the Diablo 2 .io and d2.lc — the first search results.

So I now understand the 20% from mist, the +20% from gloves and 10% from belt gets me over the second highest breakpoint (48%)

Poggo. I can wear gface or I have an open helm slot.
