Are people cool with ladder delay because of other games?

“Take your time to make good changes” while there are barely any important changes happening looks like an excuse to me

There is another PTR coming which looks to bring further balancing changes.

Aside from that, yes, I’d rather them be late and get it right than rush it out earlier and it be a train wreck.

im cool with waitin for all the casual pvm d3 players to move onto new shiny object before considering any signifcant change to legendary d2

A long waiting period for a low quality patch that doesn’t fix any of d2r problems (current information status). We still have broken chat, broken lobby, broken private channels and no shared stash in pre-expansion.

Waiting for a patch that fixes these problems would be no issue for me if they communicate it well.

no, they should’ve had a “classic 1.14” ladder. and then a 2.4. this is absurd.

but why such changes could not be added in later patches for later season ?
I see nor reason to make all changes for season 1
all these arguments are looking like excuses for delay to me

That’s true. I don’t see how any 2.4 changes are related to a ladder start either.
Servers and bots could be a legit reason for delay, but i don’t see them working on that when i read the patchnotes.

Don’t speak for anyone else, but sure, I have a handful of other games I regularly play. Got nothing to do with why the lack of ladder ain’t my hill to die on though. The ladder simply doesn’t offer anything I’m particularly interested in, and I couldn’t care less about leaderboards.

Agreed, the lobby/chat system could use a complete overhaul. Instead of a list of individual games, I’d rather have a list of individual lobbies, where the host sets the parameters and starts the games. Would make runs way smoother, than players individually having to find and join the games.

The game has been out for a little over one ladder season at this point. If you’re bored already won’t you just get bored during the ladder since it’s about the same length?

totally agree
d2r pre-sale advertising promised a ladder. 6 months later they have lied, and they sweat the balls to continue delaying and not informing us of anything.

They deceived us, they ignore us, now they do not give us information… for God’s sake, how can there be so many hooligans that justify this!?

Unless I remember wrong, weren’t the devs pretty clear that the ladder would start sometime after launch? Something about server stability and whatnot, which they screwed up at launch as expected anyway.

I am losing interest. It has been too long. Lets see what happens, total warhammer 3 sure does appeal.

in fact, the advertising for us to buy d2r included the ladder.

I sense the people crying about the ladder work for RMT websites wanting the ladder profit margins.

If the ladder was promised to launch on day 1, then it woulda been a bait and switch, if not, then not. Too lazy to start fact checking now.

are RMT and cry your words of the day??

your current fetish forces you to defend blizzard in every thread??
or is it your new mission in life??

That a client demands something will always make sense, whether it is fair or not… but that another “client” has that sick attitude of defending a company as if it were his family, should be studied by a psychiatrist.

I think the real reason for delay, That the devs playing these new games too, So they have no time for your patch.

I’m not defending anyone I’m pointing out you’re wrong on when Blizzard said the ladder would launch and “soon after release” is what they said without context on what soon meant it could of been 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years.

Also with the falling JSP price index directly effecting RMT sites (little discussed connection between JSP and RMT sites) sagging sales from uncertainty on when ladder will launch causes sales desperation (push for ladder launch being one) and depreciation.

The ladder is the leading cause for price inflation and is why I’m starting to lean against the idea of a ladder.
