Are Jewels Useful?

I know jewels could be used on a socket. I am not talking about gems. It’s Jewels.

If gems could be upgraded thru Horadric cube, can jewels be used on horadric cube? What are the formulas?

Yes. Crafting requires Jewels. Also, some jewels are considered godly.

40 enhanced damage with 15 increased attack speed, for example.

I tend to use the early ones a fair bit. The Envy ones are 20 Poison dmg/2 seconds. 10dps/second does not suck early game. You can put 3 in a three socket armor and do 60 dmg/2 seconds starting out. Then a bow with fire or other dmg gems - charm for some cold dmg.

Those Envy jewels tend to be common.

Depends on the jewel, honestly.

There are some potentially strong rolls you can get, and there’s always using them for crafting as well.

Are they likely to be BiS or endgame items? Probably not… but a few can be… with the right rolls.

Jewels are useful if you want to craft your own rings and amulets. I’d suggest googling it. Sometimes people are looking for junk jewels for that reason.

Jewels can be super valuable and tradable. On top the drop rather often. Might not be the perfect 40/15 roll, but lesser rolls are also great.

My toon is just lowbie and I have some great jewels but I have tons of garbage Jewels sitting on my stash. What would I do with the garbage jewels? If garbage rings can be recycled into an amulet and garbage amulets can be recycled into a ring, how do I recycle low level garbage Jewels? Whats the Horadric formula? All I see on the internet are high end jewel being used with “Perfect Gems”.

I think you answered your own question with your initial sentence. I would focus on continuing getting through the game and worry more about higher level or end game recipes later. Unless your lucky you are gonna need to roll a whole bunch of rings and ammies to get a desired result.

Its more for people who have built up a lot of materials for it.

But if you are bent on doing it, make a trade game and title it ‘bring perfect gems’ and offer people things for the gems. You are gonna need I think rals and tals each attempt so do a bunch of countess runs norm.

But again I wouldnt worry about crafting yet, I personally would continue my way through the game

There is Jewel system that is in the game and I just need some good reference. I put a red jewel that adds max damage to weapon and a pink jewel that adds min damage to weapon to a 2-slot Full Helm. It should be straightforward, would give me a Full Helm with adds min and max damage on my weapon. But something happened to the Helm, the Full Helm became Imp Visage Full Helm with other bonuses than min and max damage to weapon.

I accidentally made a magical combo. What are those other jewel combo that I should know? Where is the list? Do I have to discover them myself? If Runewords are already known in the internet. Jewel combo should be on the internet too.
