Hey, it’s inevitable to upgrade, no way out and I’m interested to see if they actually fixed Windows size between resolutions like they said they would
But, I don’t want to upgrade and find out some weird bug with the game
anyone here upgrading today and willing to give some feedback?
From what I heard there shouldn’t be any issue with games but still

im personally waiting a year or so before i install 11. i did a dry run in a vm, windows 11 in general is horrible imo. hoping they can get it all working right. plus i rather wait for people to hack the ui so i dont have to look at the Mac wanna be task bar.

I’m waiting. It’s 2 biggest features haven’t been implemented yet. Direct Storage and the ability to run Android apps.

Never upgrade to a new OS when it’s first offered… to do so is foolish.
I always wait a couple years to shake out all the horrible bugs.

I agree with that, but then again I can’t really avoid it either
Well, any version you used most have been and old uncomplete ISO, would care to elaborate what you didn’t like?
it was my opinion before everyone started sharing it as a meme
I can tell you that there might be weird graphical glitches if you switch to windows 11 and update your GPU drivers. I’ve been using 510 nvidia drivers that cause black boxes to appear for certain mobs in Act 2 and 4. I believe this is currently on the bug list and is being looked at by the devs.
Edit: Apparently this is only relevant if you use the dev channel updates for windows 11. You should be fine with the standard public release.

I updated 8 to 10 without any problems. I expect the same with 11 but yeah I am very curious about android apps.
Bad idea to go with a new OS day 1 unless its on a test rig or a virtual machine. If its your day to day gaming rig wait.
I don’t know much about the OS world but I agree with you and I’ll wait for these two features. Do you have a favorite website that will let me/us know when these two things have been implemented?
I’ve been running the Win11 beta since before D2:R Beta. Didn’t have any problems with the D2:R Beta and haven’t had any issues with the D2:R release. YMMV
Unless you want to be a guinea pig and risk having issues, never upgrade your OS on day 1.
Upgrades are inevitable? not always, as for Windows 10 you’ll be fine until they start artificially requiring Windows 11 to run things.
I’m on 11 but I don’t know what kind of input I would give. It’s not all that special outside of some nice features to control apps so far but I did notice Microsoft is doing their own “game booster” or some look alike, presumably to make all that third party stuff obsolete.
I just use snap tiles and virtual desktops so I wanted to play with them on 11.
Input: They’re pretty nice so far.

maybe bill gates is finally breaking the wheel
It should be day one features. But yeah I just saw I must upgrade my PC for Win 11
…
Right, but someone has to use it to find the bugs
Change. People hate that. Surprised they aren’t still on XP.
My policy with Windows versions is to only move onto the next one around the date they intend to stop security updates for the previous. Kicking and screaming, of course.
I try to coincide the move with some hardware updates, might as well start with a fresh install and whatnot.

I actually had something like 10,000 errors in my event log and I figured it would be easier to just refresh
nfi what I did wrong but I’m gonna work on some version control this time around. Usually I do hardware too but I think Windows 10 and Dx12 work just fine and direct storage is going to Windows 10 as well.
