Very few people are even keeping track of D2R anymore, the overwhelming majority have already jumped ship.

Whats the point of ladder? Doesnt non ladder now have everything ladder does?

If its just a restart yall want, why not group up with your peoples and /delete all chars.

ladder has a ranking system for levels and everyone gets a fresh restart. as well as economy reset

No, I’m fine with just continuing my SSF NL; however, I don’t think ladder is coming soon.

Until the server issue is fixed, assuming a fix is still planned, I wouldn’t expect ladder. In addition, I expect Blizzard to stagger D2R and D3 ladders and D3’s ladder start is likely at the end of November/Early December (not sure if exact date has been announced yet).

Unfortunately, I think the beginning of ladder for those who want it will be 2022

Yes. My friends and I are eagerly waiting

Can’t wait honestly. Been enjoying D2R non-ladder play for a bit when I have time to churn out some magic find runs .

D2R was brand new. It was a fresh start and a brand new economy.

I’m still waiting for game to be playable.

If you have everything you want in the game, for every character you want to play, it seems like you are rushing to the end instead of enjoying the journey.

Even if you’re not rushing the journey is over in 12-16 hours. That’s a week or two for the most casual player. I don’t think that the op is saying they have all there is. They are asking if this is all there is to do. Which is a fair point, the game is obviously missing a key feature, ladder play, and there’s little to do but grind the same areas 100 times and literally get nothing you want or need. Leaves you wondering if the the time investment is worth it? Statistically, it’s not.

Yeah i am kind of bored on battle net, i stopped playing SC so i play hardcore now there but i am considering to go fully single player until ladder season starts.

Because then only your chars are deleted.

Point of ladder is everyone starting from zero, fresh new economy, more challenging monsters also. For some place on ladder.

Well sure… .I mean, if you consider the game “done” when you beat Baal in Hell, then yea… the game is “over”. But it’s a loot game… and like all of them the hunt for loot IS the end game. Plus, D2 is the only game where getting to max level is part of the journey… hell, you might actually get all the BiS gear for your character/ build before you hit max level.

more challenging monsters? how so?
new economy? sounds expensive - high demand, no supply

The other guy saying over in 12-16 hours? Nah…
Not if you walk from act 1 to act 5 normal - hell clearing most of the maps on every class.
I personally never really mf like others do. It just to braindead a gameplay and boring. Instead i walk through random areas wiping it out and getting whatever the rng lays out. So getting my characters decked out could take months if not a year or longer.

No… I consider this the first ladder. Because we have ladder drops/runewords. To me that’s more important for longevity of the character I play. Full access to that loot set.

As for the ladder boards? I’ve not taken part in one since Bots…

If commitment was set I’m sure I could parse in the top 20

Thats the point, its boring to farm whole day to have stuff to sell for only Um max. Longer the seasons go, the less valuable items are. People who love MF and trading like to sell valuable items.

Nonladder which we all currently play has monsters with only 70% defense and HP vs 100% on ladder. Also their AI is less agressive on NL.

12-16 hours for what? Ah i see. Well its obviously nonsense what he said. Diablo 2 is not just about 1-75 and finishing hell. Journey is badicly never over.

I like to do this on single player, i understand

right, what’s that got to do with ladder tho. obviously the economy will become over saturated the longer it goes on, that’s the point of a reset

or you’ve just played for 20 years and know how to do everything efficiently lol

i have a fully geared hdin, sorc, smiter and just finished an ele druid all with minimal trading. still having a great time

the games been out for decades, people who’ve played the whole time know how to get what they want.

also we are used to ladder resetting every 6 months or so, so we are used to playing to that time frame

you will get BiS gear before max level, considering 99 is near impossible unless you dedicate full time job hours
