Literally ps4 load times are horrific, I know this game originally came out in the ps1 days but we don’t expect ps1 load times anymore. Anyone got any tips? I tried moving it to my ssd running via USB3 and it’s no faster than the built in hdd
Yea, lots of fixes. If you took like 12 seconds to search the forums you’d see that I and many others have posted about the same issue. But it seems you didn’t get enough internet attention today or just couldn’t be bothered to read so I’ll summarize the fixes for you.
Fix Number 1: Buy a ps5
Fix Number 2: Buy a PC, probably better than option 1 because blizzard actually gives a small f*ck to the PC community, and zero to the console community.

Congratulations moron on the sh!theap response. Ps5 is out of stock in most countries and I’m trying to speed up my ps4, I was simply asking if anyone had found any success speeding up the load times on their ps4 as I’ve tried a few different ways to no avail
Have you got the hint yet that I want to continue using my ps4, not a PC, nor a ps5

Unfortunately, PS4’s hardware (for whatever reason) is hard-pressed to deal with D2R. I can sit on character selection screen and my PS4 goes brrrrrrrrrrr. Unless you can upgrade your PS4’s hardware to be overall stronger than the console’s original design, the loading screen times are there to stay.

wtf blizzard loading times on ps4 is ridiculously slow especially act 3 - 4 and setting up the freaking ladder and tto many bugged to fix

I changed my original hdd to ssd and its much much faster now. Near instant wp from act to another act.
The way I see it… load times on ps4 aren’t bad at all. Less than a min to load seems reasonable. I mean really, if you think about it… diablo 3 is worse, red dead is worse, battlefield is worse, Elden ring takes longer by a long shot, hell man… even animal crossing took longer for me to load. Unfortunately you would have to get a ps5 to load faster than a ps4… hey really the load times aren’t that bad on d2r in most cases 30 seconds to load a new map in a new act weather it’s 3, 4 or 5.
Get your eyes checked haha the way you see it is wrong. The load times suck on d2r

I remember when I ran d2 on a 56k dialup modem 256 mb ram and a 8 gig hardrive. Unless you did the same, your opinions of load times will always differ from mine.

Wow… then I’m sorry to say that your console sucks 
and it might be time to get a new one. Or maybe I’m more patient. But whatever it maybe, it’s not all that bad.
I already have the new one. I used xb1 for a while and its too slow. The load times are so long you can miss the first 2 waves of Baal runs. This has nothing to do with patience, it wrecks end game Diablo.

Buy 2.5’ Sata SSD 128gb or higher, Also buy 2.5’ Sata to USB 3.0 enclosure. Plug SSD into enclosure plug enclosure into console. Formate the SSD to your consoles storage. Move D2R to the SSD and delete off of HDD, Load times will improve dramatically depending on quality of SSD. Can get Samsung 850 Evo 2.5’ SSD off ebay for $20 or pay $10-15 for cheap Chinese SSD and get what you pay for…
Must be something about the graphics but I do agree with the OP that the loading times are pretty much ridiculous, like I can open a 3D world in fallout 4 in less time or has my mind just golden my memories there. I know it can be really bad loading there too even a minute but just to open act 3 for some chest running, hell it takes me 2 minutes for LK run even on sweet map so even if I dont really mind that problem im still really curious to cut the time even for 1:30 for example. Is it really faster and how much on ps5? I got no pro version either I think so any information I’ll be very grafeful for.
Diablo 3 loads instantly compared to d2r, on average you spend minutes loading to empty games that were full seconds ago, d2r is horrible, and is embarrassing for a new gen

Yeah, here is a tip, get a ps5, load times are near instant.
