Any info on the next ladder/season reset?

I have been playing offline for quite awhile and wanted to start online, but if a new season is starting soon, I would rather wait. Anyone?

As per PezDar tweets: announcement for the season is coming tomorrow (Nov 22), the season itself starts in December.

Feel free to join, or not join. The bots will run the whole economy to the ground anyway after the first 4-5 hours of playtime. Enjoy yet another pointless reset with absolutely zero effort done from Blizzard to:

  • Make the game feel more exciting
  • Adding QoL the community has been desperately asking about for over 2 years now (more character slots, loot filter, currency tab, etc)
  • Take any action against botters and RMT scammers to prevent the flood
  • Fixing in-game or lobby bugs, like fixing the chat window and allowing us to ban the RMT spammer sites ^^.

P.s.

I hope I am wrong about all of these predictions, but if you do not expect anything, you cannot be disappointed at least. D2R is an amazing game, too bad Blizzard is doing everything in their power to kill it.

Actually, that’s the one part where I wouldn’t set my hopes to ground level. There have been some bug fixes in the last patch, some or all of which were likely intended for the previous patch but couldn’t be rolled out in time. Chances are, we’ll get a few bug fixes, though it’s not guaranteed.

  • Mosaik mechanic changed to one skill only from MA skill,
  • infinite respec on normal mode,
  • ar per dex pt is increased to 10,
  • weapon RWs changed and allowed to all weapon type,
  • armor RWs changed and allowed in all armor types (helm, shield, armor), welcome Enigma helm/shield,
  • magic/rare items spawn with rdm number of sockets,
  • RWs allowed in rdm/rare items,
  • Anni spawn with rdm OSkill,
  • TZs mob density is increased by 200%,
  • TZs have 10% chance to spawn Unique Monsters from other Acts.

Just in case it needs to be said : what KosmO wrote aren’t actual patch notes (almost all of the lines aren’t even remotely realistic).

I’m fine with points 1 and 3.
What is normal mode? Normal difficulty? Or non-Hardcore?
The next lines are just FUBAR powercreep,you can keep that for yourself.

Also 10 ring slots instead of 2.
No more gloves.
The 10 rings gotta have open sockets too.
As does the amulet.
If the Iron golem is made out of an item with an Aura on it, the level of the Iron golem skill is increasing said auras level accordingly on a 1:1 ratio.

Sometimes I wonder, if people would have more patience with the endgame of this game, if they did not change the category from Hak ‘n slay to Action RPG.
Isnt’ the whole point o a new ladder to struggle just to then rip Lord De Seis appart in 0.5 seconds? :smile:

Patience, or rather the lack thereof is a first world problem. The notion of a game taking time in our oh so important and busy lives is just asinine thinking, even though games are usually something an individual engages in to stave off boredom.

“Working” for a reward? IN A GAME? I have a job, a family, other hobbies, etc. I don’t have time to work for items in this game… But I want all of the items too, because that’s what IcyVeins/Maxroll says I need for this build. Wait, what? I can just buy all of the items I want? Whips out the wallet.

No disrespect to your choice of flavour, but PoE2 early access is coming out on December first or second week. If you have the time and want to experience something fresh then maybe plan for that, or if you want to play d2 there is d2 pd2 thats fun and d2r reimagined that is offline but also fun. I might not directly satisfied your question, but from the feel of it, I thought to give some suggestions.

  • currency tab
  • charm bag
  • loot filter
  • a way to generate extremely hard random maps
    I would be willing to pay for these things

If you ran a business, you’d understand:

D2:R’s time in the spotlight was from August 2021 until June 2023. D2:R was something to tide the Diablo fans to do until the release of Diablo 4.

Face it, most people have moved on to Diablo 4 or other newer games. D2:R is a fading memory that only a handful of diehard legitimate players still play, and of course a whole bunch of botting scum ready to sell their finds to wallet warrior noobs.

Rusty stisks with number and ductape v2.0 nah thanks. I dont want to have a brain seizure and die of old age making a build just to end up with “click once to explode screen” like everyone else. D2 have soul, PoE have ducktape. Grim Dawn have more balance than PoE.
