Any Idea do get more dmg output ? Ladder ik set -improvements last post

Hi.
So, after a long time my barb is “finished”.
Ik Set complete, Weapon 40% CB +2 Ohm Runes.
2BK Rings, Highlord Amu , Torch and Ani. Not the best but okay.

Playing alone, its “ok”, but in group…actually to low dmg.
Every other Class does much more dmg.

Any ideas ? Considering a buff to this set ?

Edit: i made a few suggestiond at thr end of the thred so we can also play in groupes without shame. Atm we are only supporter for casters…

i will be honest with you and give you the right time ,

first is a terrible waste to put 2 ohm rune in ik maul because 2 hand weapon are very weak and underwhelming for barb , and ik set is trash sadly , very poor damage

the right choice or set up is this
the good news is very cheap and powerful for melee price ratio , but keep in mind melee are weak compare caster in this game , good luck

Well i think different.
My diablo 2 years are loooong passed but even in the past i liked ik set. And i played d2 many years.

Ofc my barb from the past had enigma 2 botd and everything 1A with 3/20/20 charms. But time has changed. Ik was the cheapest to get and i like it but barb is to weak…

Even my best barb from d2 classic years ago with top notch dmg was outclassed from every other class.

Barb needs a buff . The Set needs a buff.

Nonse.
I dont know everything…but d2 resurrected is a bit different than classic. Patches here and there, a few buffs here and there etc.

And i dont wanted a tip for completly new gear. I just wanted to know how i get more dmg out with the stuff i already have…

i told you , i will be honest and give you the right time , your stuff is bad you can not do anything with this crap but dont want too understand ,you know everything np ,what you wante me too say.

Hello there

You will get better kill speed with 2 shael runes in the ik maul. This is for ias breakpoints. With 2 ohms in it you are very slow.Otherwise not much else to do.

Now regarding your gear, and don’t take it the wrong way, we’re all learning here.
2 ohms will easily get you a grief pb+either a lawbringer pb, oath or azurewrath/ a ravenfrost, gore riders and laying of hands + duriel’s shell as an armor or Duress

This setup will destroy ik in every metric possible, and make your barb a lot faster killwise.

Damn, I did a lot of reading yesterday.
I did not know that only weapon ias works now, no matter how much ias you get from items.

Second, why they removed fhr animation ?
Why is fhr still there ??

Damn i should have visited the forum more often .
Now i have to try to make the best out of it somehow.

But that ias only on weapon matters is …!!!
Im pissed off.

so, after 2.4 ias on gear adds up, this means that your ik maul needs a total of 125 ias combined with gear to reach 5 fpa. You cannot reach 4fpa with it unless double shaeled,
Also fhr does not really matter for ww as you cannot be interrupted

Like i said my diablo 2 times are long past. Forgot to much. Is it possible to get the ohms out of ik maul ? Or only cleaning the weapon

well this is a good place to get reacquainted :))

you can remove the ohms (losing them in the process) with a hel rune and a town portal scroll in the cube, But I suggest using or looking for other gear options, for the time being IK being ok enough

Im confused now because like i said i did read often only weapon ias count ? And now 125 from any source ?

Woud ed/ ias also work ?
If yes , extrem high prices right ?

Now

  • Changed the logic for determining how often Whirlwind attacks occur. Whirlwind now incorporates Increased Attack Speed (IAS) from all equipment. The frames between each Whirlwind attack are equal to the attack frame of a basic attack for that character (modified by increased attack speed). While dual wielding, the attack frame for each weapon will be averaged (rounding up). Overall, Whirlwind attacks should be at least as fast as they were before. Slower weapons will attack notably faster.

So yes ias jewels work in gear, or shael runes in weapons for ww

Hm must look how to get more ias.
40 from weapon. 20 from highlords. 25 from set makes 85. 40 ias missing…

the 40 you are missing are the 2 shael runes you should put instead of the ohms :wink:

Or in the 3 free socks 3 ed/ ias. Makes 45 with a bit more dmg

ias/ed jewels are very very pricey.

40/15 go for 5-6 bers, so it’s an investment that maybe should be put towards other gear

But one question would the dmg output much better ? I actually like ik set and dont have atm much to trade for other gear.

no, you would barely feel a difference. ed from armor applies differently than that on weapon. and they go from ist up a piece… which would be better spent elsewhere

So, i have now 3 15 ias ed equipped which is enough now for WW cap.
Now i have to think about something and i would like to hear your ideas about that.

First : Not enough AR, thought the AR from IK Set would be enough, but isnt…
So, i have 2 BK 5 rings and want to stay with them.
First Idea : Change WC charms for Mastery Charms ? Each Charm would get me more Dmg, more Ar, More def more res.
Or invest some points into dex ?

Good or bad idea ?

Second, the DMG. Well Mastery would help here as well but not enough.
I have seen some Topics ( not only here ) that some IK Barbs go STR only , but dont know how much life they have after Warcrys etc. Only vit would come from Ani and Torch.

Any idead what i can try to “Fine tuning” my ik ww barb ?
