Yesterday I was doing ancients on normal and korlic was immune to fire. I though I am halucinating but guy who was with me actualy confirmed he saw it too. Is that some kind of new bug?
You can start finding immunities as early as Cold Plains in Normal Difficulty…

Dude, come on. I obviously know this, but korlic is not supposed to be fire immune on normal lol.
He has base fire resist of 70. If he ends up rolling as Fire Enchanted or Magic Resistant he will become immune. If he rolls Stone Skin, he can become physical immune.
Same with Talic. Madawc can roll cold or lightning immune

He cant… ancients on normal do not have powers. They got 1 on NM and 2 on Hell
I am talking about normal difficulty here, not about NM and Hell
He’s got a base of 70 fire resist in norm/nm/hell. If he spawns fire enchanted, it will make him fire immune.
(I was wrong, the Ancients spawn with 4 random items each with their own random affixes)
He cant… he doesnt have any ability on normal.
Ancients on normal have no abilities.

You’re right, ancients aren’t supposed to roll any random modifiers until NM.

Actually, nevermind on the fire enchanted… It’s something different. Apparently the Ancients spawn with 4 random items, all of which have their own random affixes, much like the Assassin shadow warrior.

So if he gets items that total +30% or more to fire resist, he’ll become immune.
Been playing the game for 21 years and I’m still learning things about it.

I am sure they will get around to fixing the bug as promptly as they did the NM CE or Mana Burn

So its same as with Blood raven because he gots random rare bow and sometimes have special stuff from it like amplify dmg, poison arrow, cold arrow…
It must be super rare tho. I dont remember ever saw it on ancients normal. So I would guess its not one itwm with +30% resist as we would see it more often. It would be probably like 2 or 3 items having fire resist.

Well yes it’s probably very rare to see it, because there’s no point in rerunning them… The four items totaling 30% or more is probably a very rare occurrence. One and done.

Its weird tho I cant find anything about it in txt files of d2. I found Blood raven having short bow with random modifiers if i read it properly but could not find the ancients equip.

Ah yes, another 1 year necro.
Excpept for Bishibosh, Witch Doctor Enudugu and Grand Vizier of Chaos (fire).
Then there’s Fire Towers, Lightning Spires, Catapults, Barricades and Barricade Towers (poison). Don’t think cold or lightning have have any 
But other than a few commonly encountered monsters/objects, you’re absolutely right. That was totally worth the 1-year necro
