In the Diablo 2 wiki, the basic description I found for Amplify Damage is 100% physical resistance reduction, for Decrepify, 50% reduction in physical and non magical resistance and chills opponents. When I cast Amplify Damage, however the target monsters appear chilled, they have the icy blue aura, I do not see this when I cast Decrepify. Casting Decrepify, monsters do not appear slowed, and they have a red shimmering aura. This is the reverse of the description from the wiki, can anyone explain this?
Sure you did not swap these 2 curses by accident? The AMP damage is the red shimmering/burning like thing above the target’s head, Decripify is the other one, like a white/grey-ish mini cloud alike thing.
The wiki is correct, You have to be confusing the 2 curses.
After I posted and had a chance to think about it, I concluded that I must have switched the positions on the controller. That is still somewhat of a mystery, because access to Amplify Damage comes way before Decrepify, and I would have initially assigned it to the X button.
