Amazon Decoy Bug still not fixed

Title says it all, decoy still bugs out and dies in one hit or becomes immortal. Is this just something they can’t fix easily?

They broke Decoy with Season 4 and did not care to fix it ever since :frowning:

I think I figured out a fix for now. It seems that if I take off a piece of gear that gives “+skills”, summon a decoy, put the gear back on, and resummon the decoy, it seems to reset whatever causes this bug until having to do the process over.

the Decoy has a whole bunch of undocumented issues:

tha main two are:
-never invest more than 1 phyisical point in decoy… the + skills shoud do the rest…

  • after Decoy surpasses life% bonus past 100% the problems begin to occour… at 100% she’s virtually indestructible, however at 110% she becomes a weaksauce 1 hit ko… i belive that’s because the engine now checks the life bonus up to 100% and anything above overlaps starting from 0 so a 110% life bonus is only 10% life bonus for the decoy i think…

also it isn’t documented anywhere but it seemes that decoy also benefits from dodge and avoid ( not evade since she doens’t move ), i actually invested in those skills a bit and some +skills boost those to ~55% chance, this signifcantly boosts decoys survi… however my build
i use Mist on myself and faith on the merc so +3 to passives from mist +3 from hellfire torch +1 from anni +2 from diadem, and that’s it if you battle command yourself for the extra +1 to all skills the decoy bugs out… it simply cannot pass 100% life bonus on the skill escription…

Decoy bug is not relateed to it’s ilfe pool as i battle ordered a decoy when skill was on a level that had had 100% life bonus description, and the decoy survived perfectly fine… it’s the life% bonus that is the problem not it’s total life pool…

the fix that the guy above me discovered is simply going down with % life so it’s not slightly above full

Unfortunately i have to disagree by actual game experience. My current WF bowie runs with a Decoy having exactly the 100% bonus at skill lvl 10 including all +skills - it was even lower before a respec a few days ago - and Decoy still bugs out!

btw: it was reported right from the start that Decoy skill lvl does NOT matter. She even bugs out at lvl 1 without skills.

And i’m sick and tired experiencing this since Season 4(!)

I also don’t give a rats a$$ what exaclty the problem is.

yeah but there’s sort of another bug when Decoy has 110% hp bonus it dies instantly beginning from the first cast…

As for your tests, with skill level 10… regarding other part of my post… could You tell me, at which levels of dodge and avoid skills were You when doing Your tests with lvl 10 decoy?
did you had any or were they just 1 point wonders?
I’m asking because I know for certain that Decoy utilizes those skills, and on the contrary to common knowledge She’s not proficient with those skills from the get go but rather Decoy gets those skills in form of passive synergies from the amazon ( yet they are not stated as such under Decoy skill’s description) having ~55% dodge and ~60% avoid is something more “effective hp” boosting than having a shield with such blockchance, since avoid allows to dodge 60% of all missles, and not just ranged physical damage like it is in case of shield. avoid allows to avoid % of all missle type attack * including the elemental ones…
on the other hand puting her out with no points in dodge and avoid, literally means she has to swallow all the damage, which means she can poop out quite fast when set up i.e. in Travincal aginst the council members and their multiple hydras with firebolts…

I haven’t really tested Decoy that much, she’s more of a gimmick for my build, it wouldn’t nessecarily hold up for very long with the setup i use…
Due to abusing new 2.4 patch HolyBolt mechanics, i do massive additional damage to undead and demon type critters, and if there are some undead mixed in the crowd my sustain is through the roof… I’m still strugling to get proper headgear for my online amazon and her merc, however even without this, mobs don’t last long enaugh to cause a serious threat… so I don’t cry for a proper Decoy fix like the weaksauce elemental bowazons or the multishot bowa…

+5 skills too, so lvl 6 in total. These lvls remained the same, before and after respec.

lvl 6 is roughly 40% for dodge and 48% for avoid

I currently have’em at lvl 11 (49% Dodge and 57% avoid accordingly) sum of skill bonuses + hard points… still plan to add a +2 ama skill diadem and spend the remaining 12 skillpoints points among the 3 migitation skills for a +17 to all pre batle command…
with everything on it would be +18 (55% dodge 64% avoid 55% evade)… i think the decoy survi difference, when decoy is literally hammered with misseles might be noticable between your 49% and 63% ( pre battle command) which i tested on single player…

So for me the difference between Decoy skill level 10 and 11 is quite noticable from the start.
casting Decoy without Battle command, and she just stads there getting pounded, casting battle command, prior to casting decoy, and first ever cast even at the beginning of the gaming session, and Decoy gets toasted in just few hits, just as if it had +10% life instead of +110%…

i could try to dig for that single player savegame if you’re interested…
