Am I missing the option to view ilvl?

If I am just missing it then thats on me, but if it was overlooked or just a decision made to not add a way to view item level natively then it was a big drop. To be fair though, I personally feel this is possibly the only feature missing from an otherwise flawless remaster in my opinion. From crafting and socketing to rolling charms we NEED to be able to know item levels.

Umm no you really dont. Just remember where ya got it from.
What you are taking about was a mod only thing.

There are charts that show area level. You can cut and paste them into word and alt-tab to them when you need to. Be nice if Blizz put them into an update.

Monster level=ILevel

Yeah thats the problem is that Area level doesn’t necessarily equal monster level which doesnt equal item level. Especially after a couple weeks or even months of playing and you have 20 mules with items piled you need this information available to you.

Ilvl is almost always the same as the monster level. The only exception would be unique and set items that have their own ilvls.
I agree though, would be way simpler to just let us see what the ilvl of an item is.

I miss it too… after 20 years of the game didn’t know about ivl of item that I want to use in horadric for make it socketed its bad dude… there must be some changes…

The ilvl for blue and unique monsters is higher than normal mobs in a given area, and the ilvl for superuniques is different also.

That’s because blue and unique monsters are higher leveled than the normal mobs in a given area.

Yes, so your original comment saying: “it’s just area level” was not helpful to people asking about it who don’t already know that.

I didn’t say area level, I said monster level.

Edit: You might have me confused with Bovie.

I would recommend checking monster levels specifically instead of going by area level.

I agree, keeping spreadsheets for the items you found of where you found them is extremely annoying, it would be nice to just show item level on the tooltip, even it you have to push a key to show it.

I wrote to Blizzard on day 2 or 3 about this frustrating topic. I don’t understand why it’s not a setting. I basically wrote in a big frustrated message stating how it truly needs to be added. Nobody that’s new to the game wants to go through all this work to keep track of items. It’s miserable and makes NOBODY want to recommend this game to any friends. I’d recommend NOT playing it just due to the pure frustration of not being able to see ilvls and the minimal bank space. Idk why there isn’t 10 tabs at least. I made 19 extra characters just for bank space. How can there be hundreds of unique and set items and enough bank space to hold jack Sheit! I already have every characters bank full.

This needs to be incorporated into item details, it’s generally impossible to track all area levels, moreover if you kill a boss and add and they both drop blue items, are you sure which one dropped from which mob?
It’s even worse with gambling since ilvl spread is 9 lvls (-5/+4)

I agree 100% / the I-lvl must be show like any others stats of objects, we need it for craft and reroll… so easy for the dev’s to do it…

  • Only 3 miserables shares tabs, seriously, useless, i created 10 mules, lol !
  • Why runes, gems, skulls, essences, keys, are not stackable per 10 ?
  • The stash of Path of exile is really nice compared to stash of D2R who suck !
  • And where is the second inventory for the charms/skills that blizzard promise ?
  • Honestly, i think that blizzard doesn’t care about players, just want our money…
  • Just look what happening to D3… D2 will finish same, abandoned. really shame !

I fully agree to both of You guys - there’s like a TON of stuff that is BASIC NEED, like extra stashes for example or item-level-showing-button, not to mention that there are still small things that are just grain of sand in everyone’s eye, like mini-map not working at all, or character that stops running for pretty much no reason, same with attacks or when I point monster to attack (without holding shift all the time…) and my char instead runs with open arms to the monster… seriously Bliz, fix-your-game, ok? Remaking Diablo 2 so well in 90% makes that 10% really hurt  It feels like new version of old-favourite car where the door-windows don’t open like they used to in the old version… Absolute bs

if you are talking about how some streamers screens show the iLvl of stuff when they mouseover it, that’s from custom mods they run. they are a technically grey area with regards to the EULA and TOS and blizzard may decide to ban them at any time over it. most of those crazy builds and videos they show are running in offline mode with custom characters made on a save editor to get around warden.

if warden, the anti-cheat protection software built into the bnet framework and launcher, detects you running anything like that, you WILL get banned. so don’t risk it.

Advanced Tooltips would be welcomed, I think.

Okay, now tell me how do you deal with gambled item since the gambled item ilvl is randomized based on the player level ?

If they change it you can still stick notes on your screen and maintain an excel spreadsheet, don’t worry.

you have now unlocked the necromancer avatar… please update accordingly
