I went to log in to D2R today and there was a long delay getting into the game client. When It loaded all of my online characters were available and when I tried to join with my Sorc it took 5 minutes to attempt to create a game and threw a “Can’t join game.” error.
I logged out and logged back in after the game returned me to the character selection screen and now all of my online characters are missing.
Got same problem, so dissapointed with the server

As of this morning, all of my characters are gone as well.
Same thing on the EU server.
Going from offline to online throws ‘‘Cannot connect to Server’’ and entering the game takes way to much.
Blizzard you can pay me back with a AP enigma and we good
Well i at least feel better now. Had a heart attack when all my characters were gone…
At least its a server issue and hopefully they can sort it asap.

all my characters gone. came out of a game. Went to load a new one and got error that my character can not be found on the server… lvl 78 sorc… 3 other smaller characters gone in a instance no “accidental deletion”!
almost had a heart attack when i seen my paladin with enigma gone…please get this fixed!
Same issue here. Both online characters have just disappeared. I was changing difficulty and it failed to create the game. Character list empty.
game crashed and all my characters are gone aswell. Seems like ppl were reporting issues like this prior in the forums. blizz response was that the the players deleted them there selves. if my characters aren’t restored the experience of this game is completely ruined and i would like a refund.
I was playing an hour ago when I had connection issues. After logging back in, all of my online characters are gone as well.
