Blizzard has billions… obviously they are trying to make the d2 community happy by spending the dough on the remaster right? lets put in another act!

D2 was the continuation of D1, wherein Baal was foreshadowed, hence the rise of the Lord of Destruction expansion.
Since D3’s story was basically a copy of D2’s story, but with an expansion that told a story about nothing in particular, D3 as a story is normally ignored, because it tells us nothing new about anything in the franchise (except give us a visual of what heaven looks like). It is all very superficial, which is something that is also reflected quite well in the game’s mechanics.
D4 continues the story as intended. That is why you’ve likely been redirected there.
Personally, I would redirect you to the topic “If more lvl 85 zones were added how would you want them?” by SwiftKitten, instead, since the only thing you can hope for at this point is more varied end-game content. There’s nothing wrong with asking for a sewer to be extended.

IF act 6 was the storyline from Diablo Immortal made available to PC gamers, then sure, though I suppose that would fit better as a prologue (Act 0) for Diablo III.
I totally want more acts! There was an expansion that was nearly finished but they never released. Would love to have it.
It isn’t your Diablo. That is the problem. It is Blizzard’s Diablo. Blizzard is a business. Blizzard needs to make money. If there is more money to be made by extending D2R, don’t delude yourself for a moment thinking they won’t.

i would love an Act 6 or expansion but, they would have to do it right and stay true to this part of the franchise. Allow the other fork to do whatever but, keep this one mature and dark and realistic in it’s art. No cartoonist demons leave that for the d3 and d4 and just split the genre.
D2:R should end at LoD with all current content as-is. However, I’m totally interested in future expansions to D2:R, and it being “Resurrected”, they could totally fork the lore and have 2 different canons going at the same time. Just blame it on Chronomancy or something. 
I think there’s plenty of other examples of fictional worlds having rebooted/forked simultaneous plots in movies and literature, so this isn’t a new idea nor is it a guaranteed failure. Guaranteed nerd arguments perhaps.
Not sure how I would feel about that. It would render all the end game we know irrelevant, unless it did not add character levels and only added items that were not stronger than what we have, but somehow addressed the shortcomings already in the game.
IMO it depend on will D4 become D2 : MK II or not.
If D4 is D4 and D2:R is D2 : MK II, a expansion is attractive to me. I don’t mind to play different style of Diablo games 
Act 6 is Diablo Immortal lol. Although it would be interesting to have it on two different platforms. Mobile, you get D3 heroes and PC/console you get D2 heroes.
