I’ve been seeing an uptick of videos on Youtube about Randomizers for Diablo 2 Resurrected. After watching some videos and seeing some interesting seeds that people have generated and how unbalanced the whole thing is, I think it would be a fun little addition to the experience.
WoW hardcore was pretty popular before Blizzard did the good ol’ reliable “Copy + Paste”, I think a randomizer for D2R would be a fun mode for people who just want to drop in for solo play and get a fresh experience from D2.
Based on seeing how easy people have modded D2R to run a randomizer, how hard would it be for Blizzard to do the good ol’ “Yoink” for this feature?

There is a way to randomize offline maps:
1: Open the Battle.net launcher.
2: With D2:R selected, click the
gear next to the “Play Now” button, choose “Game Settings”.
3: Check the
box next to “Additional command line arguments”.
4: A text field will appear beneath, add the following argument: -resetofflinemaps
(If you already have other command line arguments in the field, simply add a space to the end, then add the above argument.)
Then click “Done”.
5: Start the game. Your map seeds will be randomized each time you start a game, just like they do when playing on Battle.net.

What is randomized diablo 2?
Like anything can drop even if you’re in normal difficulty? Or random enemies spawning from anywhere in the game? Random area levels?
The game is already full of random chance, and even random maps, so I’m curious what a randomizer would do
