Was suggested I not talk to Anya after rescuing her. So how do I get another quest? I am stuck atm.
Act 5…do
top left quest(shenk)
top right quest(anya)(can save talking to anya later if u want to)
bottom center(ancients)(climb arreat summit from ancients way map)
bottom right(act boss)
basicly…simply run mindlessly forward untill you find opening to next map
also…you cant exactly miss out anything special by progressing fast(all ya need for D2 is knowledge bout best farm area for specific items…and some specific map trick to find next map faster if gonna run an area repeatedly 200-500+ time over in a day
Anya will give you rare Sorceress orb as reward but quest reward is based on your character level. If you talk to her after saving her on lvl 32, you will get lvl 32 weapon/orb. But if you wait to 50, you will get weapon/orb with item level 50 and it can have better abilities like +2 Sorceress skills for example.
You need to talk to Anya after saving to open portal to nihlathak Temple to kill nihlathak but it is side quest. You can do it later anytime you want. So after you save her, just normaly continue from crystalline passage to glacial trail then frozen tundra, ancients way, arreat summit, worldstone keep and throne of destruction to kill baal to finish normal.

Thank you. That is quite a bit more detail That I need and like. Makes sense, but w/o knowledge its hard to make good decisions.

Well, you will learn tricks over time 
I didn’t know about that level thing with Anya. I usually talk to her immediately after I save her and then I go to kill that traitor.

Yeah that is why this quest is optional and does not impact completing the game. The reward is level based, same as the Imbue reward for returning the Malus in A1. You do not need to complete that to move on, ergo its a level based reward that you can use down the road to improve your chances at a much better item.
