First, I’d like to apologize if there’s already a thread related to this one. Secondly, this is as far as I have made it in the game with either a Barbarian or an Assassin Class. In addition, what confuses me the most is the fact that the original enemies in Act 5 were not in game at all. They were in fact replaced by Act 1,2,3, & 4 enemies instead. So, I guess what I’m trying to ask here… **Is that normal for the game mechanics? **
Note: The furthest I’ve made in Diablo 2: Resurrected is Act 3 Hell Quest 2 with a Paladin.
Interesting. When I first noticed all of it, I thought there was a mix up with the game files or something. Because the old school D2: LoD didn’t have that.
Randomized the monster populations more thoroughly throughout Act V in Nightmare and Hell difficulties, including the addition of ‘guest monsters’ from other Acts.
No it doesnt, just read correctly what He said, old school means 1.09 OG patch, pre 1.10 patch mod.
Its not my opinion, old school in D2 means PRE 1.10 synergie + nigma + cta patch mod.
Thats the core D2R problem, they advertised D2R as D2 ppl best remember and most ppl best remember 1.00-09 according to CL sales and LoD sales/numbers and 1.10 as ghost town compared to 1.09, so ppl expected OG game similar to ~1.00-09 w/o synergies, broken RW meta and melee as garbage.
To this day I remember mass hate on forums about 1.10 and many ppl/clans just quit the game
FYI: According to wiki old D2 sold 4 mill copies world wide from year 2000 and onwards, on the other hand D2R sold 5 mill copies within the first 6 months even though people knew very well that it was going to be a remaster of D2 Lod with all the features of patch 1.10 which doesnt really seem to match with ur statement/opinion
