I am curious about one thing. We all know that you dont need organs currently for smashing orb and killing council is enough to skip khalims parts completion quests.
There is another trick tho, probably not so well known by public or not very often used. You dont have to kill council at all and skip even that.
You simply join a game where quest is completed and run down as entrance in travincal is open. Then you take wp and can finish last quests elsewhere.
So what about that? Are they somehow fixing that too? And how?
If devs philosophy is to force players to make quest, they should definitely not forget about this as it will become new rushing method after change if they dont fix it also.

we don’t know why it was changed.
I can’t imagine it was done only as a bug fix. you know what i mean?

Well if it was just bug and fix just that, its pretty much pointless because people will use method i described instead.
If it would be targeting rushing? Why not stop baal q glitch?
Maybe they would try the act2 approach? Dunno. If they just do it for the door then, wouldn’t change much anyways.
While I think it’s good thing, the approach itself if not done properly wouldn’t solve the issue.
it was an attempt to slow rushing. before 1.10 all you had to do was stand in town as someone killed the last wp boss and you could move to the next act with the exception of completing the staff and being able to talk to Jerhyn in the entrance to the Harem in act two which was easily bypassed by leaving the game, joining a new game to speak to jerhyn, and returning to rush game.
people used to pride themselves on how quickly they could rush. there were premiums for like “25 minute rush” or “30 minute rush” and that was like a FULL rush from level 1 all the way to being able to make a cow portal which meant completing act 5 hell. there were no level requirements for ancients. the real only issue was that there was an EXP bottleneck for hell cows that optimized for being level 20 after you were rushed from level one to completing hell difficulty.
you’re just seeing one of the bottlenecks that wasn’t easily passable. it took a little bit for people to figure out all of the best tricks, you’re just playing a highly optimized version of these and 15 years after the fact
