Act 2 Last Quest. Lost Staff and Stuck

Okay so I was going along just fine, got to the last quest and the boss just seemed to destroy me. Playing a Hammerdin and everything was going fine. Well I died, and couldn’t get my body back because the boss kept killing me. So I had to exit out of the game and just chill because that was beyond annoying. Well I come back to the game, and I just noticed I didn’t have the waypoint unlocked so I can’t even get back to the last zone. So I tried to do the quests and re-make the Staff, but low and behold I killed the Queen Maggot, and the staff didn’t drop. So I guess I am totally screwed. Because I didn’t unlock the waypoint, now I am screwed because I can’t get back to where I need to keep going.

I know this is an old game, but for the love of god, how could that be allowed to happen. Now I can’t even finish Act 2, and stuck and would have to re-make my character to start again? I mean really? I am now level 23 and stuck…

I was going on a nice pace, but noticed I never unlocked the Palace Celler, Arcane Sanctuary, or the Canyon of the Magi… I mean is there a way for my to progress, or should I just un-install and go to another game? I have no desire to re-start this game. Was doing it for the lore till D4 came out…

Just go palace again :). You dont need another staff if you already opened duriel. And dont forget to take waypoints.

Welcome to the forums. :grinning:
As Zax said, you don’t need to do the quests again if you’ve already used the staff. The tomb will already be open when you get there. If you didn’t get the last waypoint, then you’ll need to go to the Arcane Sanctuary and take the portal near the Summoner again. If you’re playing online, I’m sure someone will help if you start a game like “canyon wp pls” or “help act2”.

Normal Duriel can be one of the great challenges for those new to the game, but it’s a great game if you stick with it. :grinning:

I remember this happend to me back in early 2000sh on the original D2 and i know the pain. I just deleted my barb and lvled a new one, i mean, cmon its just act 2 right :stuck_out_tongue:
