Act 2 bug skipped quests?

I am playing an Amazon (offline) on the PC. Got to Act 2, finished the Radament quest. Went looking around Lut Gohlein (sp?) to see who had the next quest. Found the guard in front of the prince’s palace (who initially says “You may not pass.”) with the quest marker. Standing right behind him is the prince. After talking to the guard (and getting his gruff denial of entry), the guard steps to the side and the prince gets the quest marker. So I talk to the prince, who says something about being impressed with my accomplishments or something–I actually skipped his speech (I’ve heard all this dialog before) and got a new quest. But when I open the quest window, it’s the last quest of the act!: “Find Tal Rasha’s Tomb”. And that’s the dialog option that everyone else in town has now, “The Seven Tombs”.

No cleansing the harem, no eclipse/snake altar, no Arcane Sanctuary…oh, and NO HORADRIC CUBE! I seem to have skipped right past the quest for assembling the Horadric Staff that will open Tal Rasha’s Tomb. I am about to re-open that game and see what the state of my quests is. Has anyone else run into this?

Chris

PS: In Act 1, I had my rogue merc die (a few times), and when I revived her, her body sprite never returned. As in my merc was now invisible; all I could see was her bow (with arrow) floating around the screen. My Act 2 merc has died once so far, but he revived without a similar bug.

The tomb quest pops up pretty early. The dialog even says something to the effect of “it might take a while to find it.” So it’s not really a bug, the quests just aren’t linear.

When you killed Radament did you pick up the scroll? That’s what will trigger Cain to give the staff/cube quest.

If you didn’t, you should just be able to head out into the desert and start collecting the stuff and the quest should pop up that way.

If you killed Radament and talked to Atma after, just go out and start exploring the desert.

If you didn’t loot the golden chest at Radamant, and picked up the Horadric Scroll, Cain’s quest won’t trigger the usual way (you should still be able to go loot it if so inclined) Alternatively, start head out to Dry Hills and find the Horadric cube in Halls of The Dead, which will trigger Cain to give you the staff and headpieces quests.

is staretd from scroll radamant drops and cain.

the viper quest should auto generate moment you enter the area.

Atma tells you to go and se lord jerhyn, but in the golden chest in Radament area drops “Horadric Scroll” and when you pick it up then it tells you to go to Cain that sends you to search for the Cube in Halls of the Dead in Dry hills, Staff in Maggot Lair in Far Oasis and the headpiece in Clawviper Temple.
