To all those who are interested in buying Diablo II: Resurrected for PlayStation (Possibly XBOX as well), avoid this game if you are primarily interested in the Co-Op feature this game “offers”.
The matchmaking does not work properly, no lobbies (Multiple console games actually do have lobbies so this was just laziness on Blizzard’s part, they can try and deny it all they want), no way to communicate with players, voice chat actually doesn’t work in game on PlayStation, amongst other issues.
Your chances of finding a group to play with for just about all content is quite slim and even if you do get lucky to find one, the headaches and lack of communication makes it a chore.
It is doubtful Blizzard will ever address the issues with console due to bias for PC and it is to be expected.
To those who have purchased the game, if enough complaints reel in to Sony, they may give out refunds and / or take the game off the store (wishful thinking but worth the shot since it was highly effective for some titles).
Microsoft, to my knowledge, has a better policy set in place for such matters for XBOX owners.

I think that this post shows D2r is a good game but Sony is bad 
My only gripe is the amount of time it takes to tp, but I have noticed that the game syncs during the travel. I rarely just pop up dead like the old days
I never touted D2R being a bad game, in fact, the game is solid on my PC and quite addictive, if anything, this is moreso an advanced warning to those only interested for the online aspect for consoles, as the beginning of my post implied. The game is still solid if one was to do “Offline Mode”.
The issues, to my knowledge, are also present on Microsoft’s XBOX, so I sincerely doubt this a Sony problem. XBOX mainly has a better and looser refund policy (by a small amount) for those unhappy with a quality of a game.

Then that’s an error on my part in terms of XBOX. I wasn’t aware the XBOX had a LFG feature in it’s OS, good to know Microsoft has it’s own way to find groups outside of matchmaking, something Sony should take into account and implement.
Why should Xbox or PS have to fix a problem that Diablo 2 should never have had to begin with?

I’ve played since launch and I’ve only seen like 5 randos join my game. Pain in A55 to find a baal run or anything like that. Really need Lobbies…

I do think we should keep asking blizz to refund us. The console game online experience is broken and is far from what they promised. Lack a lot if compared to PC and this is totally unexpected. I prefer refund our purchase and go back to PC

I literally got banned the other day using the looking for group features on Xbox one.
What for? Like what reason did they give?
When I look at my enforcement history, it said, “trading +1 poison and bone skill GC, looking for mal or equivalent.” Those are the words under my enforcement history that got me communications banned for two weeks, I tried to appeal through the enforcement history and verbally, I can never get anyone to really look at it, they won’t even talk to me.
Note to interested console players:
Steer clear of this game until major elements are fixed

They have dozens of games up to play on the PC too, just that in hell mode, only 1 in 20 is playing, and the rest are trading items. Takes 30 minutes to find a game, so you end up playing solo.
OP: The truth has been spoken.
Hell, even the original game is less broken than this.
And the PS4 version has less fps then a gameboy game from the 1990’s

This is another major issue. If you want to create a game like half the titles we use in PC are not allowed on xbox looking for group feature. For example
Hardcore is not allowed (p0rn related?)
Duriel is also not allowed (p0rn related???)
xbox would not let me post a LFG if Duriel or hardcore (last time I tried HC, a bunch of softcore players messaged me) at this point im not even sure how to play this game multiplayer.
That’s due to the words used. Trading +1 Poison is flagged as violent by Microsoft algorithms
It works just fine on Xbox. When the servers are up of course. Load times aren’t bad at all.
Either use the LFG group, post in a forum such as this one “looking for friends on Xbox” add those GTs to your friends list and invite away. Or they can also join your games.
Now, to be fair, the group finder is non existent. However, they only reasons really to join say a Baal run is the EXP. One doesn’t join group games for the loots.
Fair warning: I completed Hell on my Sorc on PC and may have screwed myself out of an achievement on Xbox. Hopefully if when kill Baal again it will pop
