Dear people, please don’t turn this game into Diablo 3 and 4.
This game is the benchmark for the Diablo series, one you still want to play even after 25 years.
Don’t fall for the demands of modern society, which is accustomed to getting everything for nothing, to make the game easier, make the drops better (higher), etc.
This will kill this iconic game.

no matter what they do, expansion is still there.
I haven’t seen too much asking for the game to be easier etc. But I do also want them to expand upon the game. Hell, I would even love to see them making Stamina useful, heh.
I liked the loot filter (which the Diablo 2 team needs to work on). I liked the Stash update. These updates needed to be added back in update 1.17b. I’m neutral about Warlock. He’s a character, and interesting in some ways (yes, the broken mechanics of the Echoing Strike skill). You’ll remember Hammerdin—he was still as overpowered as he was before (and even stronger now).
This add-on is a far, far, far cry from turning the game into d3-d4. the QOL/convenience improvements are all things even community veterans have been asking for in some way or another for a long time. They’ve even managed to squeezle in a bit of new content without changing existing areas or adding new ones. Though I still have no idea how to get the items for the ancients battle or how to get the items needed to force a desired terror zone.
I was referring to the ease of play found in other Diablo series, where after a few hours of play you already have everything you need and lose interest. Because everything in the game is so easy to obtain.
I don’t mind the new locations in Diablo 2. I mind the ease of play.
I see no evidence that the game has suddenly become easy because of WotL. If anything it’s gotten harder with terror zones tuned upward and a new mega boss encounter.
Are you all enjoy game if you reach lvl 90 and your equipment is still garbage, you don´t find any mid/high rune and no decent gear ? Nobody talk anything about increasing drop high runes to drop from the sky. But slight increase drop rate is desired.
I don´t care about youtubers, who spend 20 hours in game daily….they can have gg gear during one weak (thanks also to their fanclub). For all normal people it is only dream. The most of people play solo and in this case, drop rate is insane.
Can we start expansion ladder on 20th level up to 90 and convert to Rotw ladder later?

i like the game to been playing it when it first came out but am very upset that blizzard stole 2 bags with all my extra gear in it so after oer 30 yrs of playing im thinking of quitting all ove it and going back to my disk playing at least they cant arbatraialy thak stuff away from you to me that is stealing

We finally got updates to a 20+ year old game.
If you disagree with tuning, that’s fine — balance can always be discussed.
But acting like continued support is a bad thing makes no sense.
Most legacy games don’t get this level of attention. And the original version is still intact. If you prefer the old experience, it’s still there.
Having more options is not a problem.
It can be. Let’s take Tetris for example. What if the standard Tetris added 40 new pieces and triangle building blocks? It would change the meta completelly. It would be an entirely new experience. Some would like it, some would hate it. Probably not a good idea to monumentally shift Tetris after all these decades. Same reasoning here. Just make a new game that’s like Diablo 2 if they want to do that. Don’t use Diablo 2 itself.
no I don’t think so. It would be a bit unfair to get to 99 on expansion and then convert to take a ROTW ladder spot. I would be surprised if they allowed this
Its actually the wildest thing out of everything I’ve seen on these forums, right? For years and years the constantly sentiment is “please update our game. please support us. we only play this game”
and then they do, and it’s like “omg no my game please abandon the game again”
Don’t give them ideas!!! we will have items with modifiers that if stamina is more than 60% full your next attack or cast will deal 2000% increased damage, but only on a Tuesday, and if your belt is full of mana potions.
Too bad, they will step on it to make extra money
I’ve seen a thread complaining about the Physical immunities of enemies and that it needs to be removed.
Please Blizz, do not listen to the whining of the crowd that’s going to quit the game 1 week into ladder. These folks that want enigma deleted, warlock to be the worst class in the game, and bosses to drop their entire loot table every run are the worst of the worst in this community. They won’t learn the game, they wont grind for hr’s or any end game gear, and they won’t stick around regardless of what you change. They will cry no matter what, unless you nerf everything down to their casual playing field. Do not, under any circumstances, listen to this crowd.
And who will pay the bills for the servers & ladder support? If you bought a game 4 years ago, and don’t won’t the new content it’s understandable, but maintenance of the D2R needs a “crowd”.
I personally want one update to the game: not a list of unique gear I found but the ability to STORE it in my stash, and be able to retrieve it when I want.
