Play shadowlands and you will have new models, LFG/LFR and all the QOL and balances changes you could want.
That recipe takes 3 p.skulls + your item + 1 Stone of Jordan unique ring
This is basically a luxury recipe. I would not recommend using a SOJ for this in any circumstance. A SOJ is worth way more than an act5 normal rush.

Again a question my friend, did the p.amethyst + Ral + Sol works on IK item like boots and glove?
The upgrade recipes only work on unique items, not on set items.

Grizzly costs 2 prereqs since you will always already be getting oak sage or wolverine. 3 points for a tanky bear is incredibly valuable.
Use it to distract enemies so you dont get overwhelmed or keep it by you and your merc to take a few hits away from you to stop putting you into hit recovery.
Theres no reason not to get it as a shapeshifter because you should have 3 points to spare
