So an update and no notes here or in console discussion? What am i actually downloading? A new leaderboard for season 7? Game just launched without telling me anything either.
Dang… 5.58GB to allow 19 year old Koreans to play a game? They must be coding in assembly… 
Unless they have some surprise for us… Which I seriously doubt.

Jah rune from the first pit run! Increased drop rates confirmed.
On PC the patch was 82 MB, AFAIK consoles (sometimes?) have to redownload parts of the game whenever a patch releases, like I’ve seen Halo MCC where a small 50 MB update on PC requires a 40 GB update on the Xbox. Dunno why that is.
I still don’t understand why a patch for the game is needed just to allow 19yo Koreans to play the game… I would think that would be a Battle.net app update?
Well we took a look at the patched files. There is more here than just the korean update. Could just be some legacy stuff getting cleaned up. But there are some interesting things if you dig in. I think i wont spoil the surprise. Season 7 is going to be truely something special.

There’s even a huge banner in battle.net launcher about new update but then there’s this single line.
There are some new rune words, somewhere between none and 8 how many do you think I found .
My guess is -1.

In addition, the Assassin Martial Arts skill tree has been reworked… Season 7 will be the functional “PTR” for it. It may be adjusted accordingly based on feedback.

To be clear I found 3 runewords in the code dump from the update. Their effects and rune combinations are not listed anywhere in the current pool of rune words. However, I am not sure if these are intended for season 7, or maybe just something they are including for testing for a future patch. Alternatively, they could just be left over code from an earlier version that got cut. So, I don’t want to spread rumors about them unless Blizzard gives an actual confirmation of them. Once the season get’s under way, I’ll try the cheapest one online once I have a few extra mid level runes and see if they are active or not unless they become comfirmed formally.
Also, what is the problem with mosiac, I mean it has no impact on PVP and while it’s strong, there are still other options for PVM. Aside from the visual diarreah that it puts out what is the problem?

Another problem is instead of making skill tree good they went D3 way and made build enabling runeword. No item in D2 before changed how skill works.
