Has anyone been able to craft a spirit in the beta?
No possibility to get a 4 soc weapon in act 2 normal.
The first monsters that can drop 4 socket weapons are normal cows.
For a1-5 normal best you can find is 3 socket.

You can however find broad sword and socket it at Larzuk once you finish his quest.
Sword needs to be without sockets and normal quality (no magical,set or rare items will work)
Laz is in Act 5… Beta is only Acts 1 and 2.
It depends on the ilvl of the weapon. A weapon dropped in normal difficulty will not have a high enough ilvl to have 4 sockets even if you use larzuk. That’s why it doesn’t always give the same number of sockets.

Normal items can have from 1-6 sockets. How many a given item can get is random for most item types, but the maximum is always limited by the [mlvl]of the monster that drops the item, item type and in the case of naturally spawning sockets the difficulty level. Items can only naturally spawn with a maximum of 3 sockets on normal difficulty, 4 sockets on nightmare and 6 sockets on hell. This limitation only applies to sockets that are spawn naturally, not ones which are added through the cube recipe or socket quest. Check the master table below, or the individual [Armor] and [Weapons]pages for info on how many sockets are possible on given item types.
The number of sockets from the [socket quest] is not affected by the difficulty level, only by the [ilvl] of the item, which is based on the [mlvl]of the monster that drops it. Your [Clvl] and the difficulty level of the quest reward has nothing to do with the number of sockets you get. You can use the [Normal] quest reward on a Crystal Sword and get 6 sockets, or the [Hell]quest reward and get 3, depending on the ilvl of the swords used.

Actually you can socket magical, rare, and unique items with Larzuk. You can get 1 socket doing that. Larzuk is the only way to have a socketed unique item. I used to use it on skullder’s ire to add a Ptopaz for extra magic find.

Can you get an amn rune in the beta?
For a Spirit Sword you need a Phase Blade=ilvl.63 Dex Req. 136.
No chance in this beta.
thats not true. a spirit can be in broadsword or crystal sword aswell which has way less requierements. 4os needs ilvl 26 at least which is a4+.
But i think there is lvl 26 monster already in a2 i just cant remember tho.
actualy you can made 4 socket weapon in beta,with cube recept, but you need grind so much and not alone
not as a drop, but you can craft it, I did it to make an item.
