cmon blizz…easy thing to implement and you net profits if you do sales of them
been waiting them since season 4 and still nothing
like why being stubborn and refuse to do it ? whats the reason behind it ?
if the concern is multi-boxing(if thats possible) just put a cap of 2-3 char log at once per acc and bots wont be able to hurt the server
its all i’am waiting for to come back
alternatively put a small monthly subscription and allow unlimited new character to be made…and if the sub run out those extra char gets locked from use
note to players that may want to rub it in: i still refuse to buy another D2 account…its not convenient to move items around…dont bother telling me to do that, no just no, like dont even leave a reply if thats all you have to say or if all you have to say is “move on from it, give up”

My response to you is this: Quit being a hoarder. Sell gear on characters/builds you no longer use online and “rebirth” them for Ladder. Otherwise continue to sit there moping and complaining about a game that’s not getting more character slots, P8 for online(single player) or stackable items. If that ever changes, I’ll gladly admit I’m wrong. Yet considering that Blizzard hasn’t done anything of note for awhile now, I think my chances are quite good.

i could not careless about new ladder rly…i praticly got a full set of 18/18+ annilus on all chars… however…since its where most ppl play i need it for P8 room to farm +skillers charms to power up my NL char further…but ain’t got no slots for it…i ain’t deleting char with a full set of gear
if it was like Phantasy Star online 2 i could have like 5-6 set of gear + 5-6 sets of inventory on a single char and swap between builds whenever i want…but Diablo 2 isn’t like that
hoarders are ppl who keep junk like chipped gems, blink something armor, tearhaunch boots, etc that not a single player would use for a top end build…items that not even low level duelers would use either…i dont keep junk i keep items for top quality builds only
Since the release of the game, Blizzard has only bumped the max player count once by +4 in patch 2.7. While I think a max of 50 would be sufficient for this game, Blizzard doesn’t seem to think so. Personally I believe it’s because they know people want more space and want them to buy more accounts to satisfy their item storing needs. (I think they’re largely targeting RMT item shops, they have to have somewhere to store it all.)
So if you need more space, I’m afraid your only option is to buy more accounts.
I would also appriciate more char slots, it’s simply not enough to play several modes. The more time goes on the more good items you will find. I don’t really wan’t to throw away a near perfect item just because I found a perfect one. Ofc I exeggerate but I guess you get my point.
Diablo 2 reminds me of that type of girlfriend… you know the kind:

Diablo 2 BEGS to be played a certain way, but punishes you for doing so… and then spends and hour on the phone with diablo 1 talking smack about you.
I think for many it’s actually not for hoarding. I actually wan’t to keep all the really nice items I got even when they only exist in NL.

Rolling just ONE 35FCR spirit could take an entire mule’s worth of spirit sets. So I call BS on hording. I doubt he had 15 under 30 resist vmagis he’ll never use.
As for adding characters, not even sure why you’re asking. Also since you’re willing to buy them why are you forgetting what everyone told you last time? Just buy another account. Learn how to multibox if you desperately need access to whatever gear is on the other account.
i haven’t forgot Dizzy…i did state it in my post that i have no interest in a second account still…i do not want to multi-box
Easy solution would be to change the stash to 3 personal tabs per character and 1 shared tab. Really doesn’t make any sense why you would need 3 shared stash tabs. It would be pretty silly to make decisions that affect everyone based on what is more inconvenient for RMT shops. The main reason they exist at this level in the first place is because of the absolutely abysmal drop rates create an environment where people will resort to RMT. Set the base rates to player 4 or 5 and the problem would be greatly reduced. If Blizzard actually cared about RMT shops they would pay someone to sit in a closet all day ordering stuff from RMT shops and then banning the delivery accounts…but they don’t, so I am assuming they don’t care. Selling additional character slots as an mtx would tarnish this games legacy.
Again, you’ll complain here before taking the obvious solution that is easily available to you. Nobody said you HAD to mult box either. And it wouldn’t be a second account, just forget your first one exists.

There are SO many character slots. You’re doing it wrong.
So let me get this straight. You are asking to add microtransactions to one of the few games left that you can fully enjoy for a single payment?
Open that box and they will sell you name changes, loot boxes, cosmetics, and all the other ensh^&tification that comes along with it.
Oh…and then ladder seasons will cost $20…

Nah not enough character slots, play ladder get gg items for cheap, when new season occurs you roll over those items to your duelers on NL, I can only make 2-3 characters on seasons due to how many NL duelers I have. I would definitely pay for more character slots and I agree with OP that buying a second account is just inconvenient.
If it makes them run frequent ban waves to deal with the mass botting and looked at the forums 2-3 times a year to see what the community agrees on as good, healthy changes, I’m all for cosmetics, paid goodies like char slots and tabs, and $20 seasons.
Then may I suggest pretty much any other game.
