3 counterpoints to BlueB's claim: "There's no deeper meaning to RPGs like Diablo 2"

And that is their claim because I have the proof of the disciplined incident saved and what statement specifically is highlighted: “there is no deeper meaning to the game design of Diablo 2

So why not?

  1. The stat pattern reference points are theological which is established by the balance of the masculine and feminine in the golden ratio and can be used as a guide to investigate missing or improvable content.

  1. Some quotes from intellectuals that point out the potential potency of math alone and it’s relationship to philosophy after demonstrating the relationship between Diablo’s referenced stat pattern points and the golden ratio.

“I once used the analogy that there’s a spooky quality about the ability of mathematicians to get there ahead of the physicists. And the question hasn’t actually occurred to many people, why is mathematics so potent? And I have a few tentative ideas about why that might be true and one of them is that we’re… nature is described by laws which to the human mind have to be expressed mathematically and although the mathematics that is needed to describe those laws isn’t natural to us, because we live in the real world we’ve gradually gotten beaten in to us by nature, by our efforts to understand things that this is the way the world is, not some other way. That the world is well described for example in terms of symmetry principles.” -Steven Weinberg

“I think it may be that philosophy also cheers us up of course, because philosophy is the imposition of form(math) on the formless in a vast way” - Iris Murdoch

  1. The community here only chooses look at story and word salad as egocentric rather than considering it to be a noble and faithful pursuit of problem solving. So the question is, has story and word salad that I’ve fought for legitimately started to solve any problems? Yes.

In a recent post I pointed out how I am not the first person to suggest that positioning should be a fundamental value to the Barbarian, yet this hero doesn’t have enough positional skills to demonstrate this. This is where I formulated a diagram of value orientation and “word salad” as supporting evidence for why positioning would be a fundamental value of the Barbarian. Diagram:

https://ibb.co/Sw7jvQ1p

Between this guiding structure of value orientation and more evidence to support why the Barbarian’s double throw should have build up in to a 10 hit volley like strafe, meaning that he would take more risk of being surrounded which he can already handle with CC, that the Amazon’s strafe should function similarly but in a different way, or be reduced down to 5 attack volleys.

I want my previous reasonable threads that were taken down to be restored please.

Huh?

20 character minimum.

Looks like I have to follow up with a few points…

In the 3rd diagram of the OP I have the Assassin labeled as a warrior but the more that one investigates this, there are legitimate arguments against.

Her starting stat pattern being practically the same pattern as the Sorceress’ just in minimal scale. 20, 20, 20, 25.

Dragon flight effectiveness being determined by cast rate, which raises a reasonable question of whether boots are a warrior classified piece of gear or mage classified.

Charge ups being a alternative form of mastery and the output damage being of a particular element type in most cases.

second

Because the OP reveals that the fundamental design values of the Barbarian and the Paladin are feminine, does this make them evil? No. It just shows that what we kind of naturally look up to in the game is valued for contrast just as any. And maybe the Barbarian and Paladin could be valued as a representation of Reason and Faith furthermore, like restored fathers.

As for the pure and young Sorceress of “masculine particularity”, we might have trouble realistically valuing that which is pure and radical, maybe even crossing over in to the social realm, but what if the Sorceress was contrasted with the clear and moderate? Contrasted in the same way that all the primary hero sets are contrasted.

Finally, would the Druid work to complete the set identity along side the Sorceress instead of the Necromancer? Maybe being a 50/50 mage/warrior to contrast with the 100% mage Sorceress. But does the Druid have fundamental design values of broad and plural? I think the sages represent the same broadness of supporting exhibited by the Barbarian and the Paladin, but that would be from the “support set”.

Conclusion: I think the Sea Witch as a 100% warrior style to contrast with a 100% mage style makes more sense than an odd and awkward 50/50. And second, the broadness of the Druid’s sages being classified as support are not fitting for this set. Perceiving the Sorceress as part of a classification of “individually limited collective expanders” though, would also indicate that she should have been able to transform in to an archetype that represent broadness and plurality more properly for the set identity.

You can make all the charts and diagrams you want, post all the number theory you want, it has no bearing on the fact that the original developers gave no attention to any of these things, didn’t want to, and don’t care. The current developers also pay no attention to this, don’t want to, and don’t care. Nor does anyone else on the forum.

I’m sorry, I don’t mean to sound cruel, but the only thing that any of your posts resonate with is your own apophenia. You’re seeing patterns and making connections that simply don’t exist.

He is suggesting some weird conspiracy or something that the original developers, do ignore they were writing code to finish a game as part of their job, instead spent countless late hours in unison writing into the code some secret Da Vinci Code grand master thesis or something (I honestly could not read this dribble).

I think the opening statement tells us all we need to know

This is some serious hardcore whackadoodle two fries short of a happy meal crazy. I mean the kind where a refrigerator is filled with saved “manhood” for post apocalyptic restoring of the human race. I mean the kind where newspapers dating back to the 1970s are stacked up in the living next to the human skull that may or may not have been a relative. The kind of crazy that makes Hannibal Lector a sane person.

He probably thinks they spent crunch time away from the family to wear cloaks, hold torches and chant while Brevik unfolds his masterplan into the code lmao.

Like I’m trying to say. I think that the reason why this game turned out to be the way it is, is because it’s design aligned with nature and produced a highly qualitative contrasting result in the identities. And I’m just saying that I think we’re attracted to those identities because we value that contrasting nature.

But if it’s all about the contrast then allow me to insight in to a fair consideration of potential misunderstanding and hypocrisy with the primary trichotomy.

We’ve been told and taught that the radical feminine is evil and I noticed that the feminine aligned with the Barbarian and Paladin(fathers) let’s say and they are mage/warrior hybrids. The Necromancer and the Druid are the true representation of the radical feminine and these feminine fathers have stolen from the identity of the radical masculine Sorceress and covered up the proper completion of that identity.

But the radical masculine must be evil as well because it is also radical right? Not if we stay consistent and faithful in our value of contrast and consider that the the radical masculine Sorceress could sometimes come back around in to the moderate mix in the mother’s role producing “super contrast” between radicality and moderation.

What I wonder is if the aim to suppress the radical masculine with the radical feminine is an attempt to generate a result that successfully “chooses the lesser of two evils” , but in doing so has not foreseen the abandonment of hope and faith in that “crossover contrast”. This being a mix between the child and mother, we can call it the “spirit of help”

Ah, now it all becomes clear. This was all an agenda to desensitize people to the suppression of the Spirit of Help so that capitalism could make people walk the plank at the bottom of society without the spirit of help and dictate people in to doing everything on their own, or walking the plank alone.

Self destruction much? Who signed up for the self destruction agenda? Anyone?

But some how we’ve locked the feminine in with not just the role of the mother, but as far as a “standard form of female pathology” that aims to do what?

Eliminate competitors.

Well that doesn’t sound familiar now does it.

Anyone else starting to get a “7” vibe here? Like seeing this post I can hear Brad Pitt’s voice saying “Whats in the box?” Now I really want to know if this whacky dude visits his local library.

I don’t know if you are serious or joking, but this is some wild, cuckoo bananas shtuff. I don’t think the game is as deep as you’re trying to make it out to be.

There was no agenda. At all. Ever.

Maybe if we read out loud the source code and record it, then play it backwards we can get the secret messages where Knights Templars hid the One Ring to Rule Them ALL.

The Spawn Masons, one of the oldest secret societies in 2b2t, the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft, uhhh

I forgot what I was gonna say.

Yeah not to derail this brilliant topic at hand, I really just want to shout out on the top of my roof “WTF makes Minecraft so popular?”

Is there maybe a secret reason behind Minecraft? A deeper meaning? Is the deep meaning behind D2 merely a distraction from the one true secret hidden deep inside Minecraft?

And lastly, does Dan Brown play either Minecraft or Diablo 2? If we gift him the game will he discover the secret meaning? We will get royalties from the movie?

Yeah it’s all Herobrine.

Once again…

While I had suspected that there could be masculine and feminine aspects that makes up the role of the Mother(and we know the imPECcable reason why), I hadn’t really realized that the child would be composed of purely masculine aspects or that the father of purely feminine. The potential for accurately describing the nature of our “worldly family” seems very hopeful here.

The diagram shows that the feminine values of the Broad and Plural are interchangeable between the set of fathers, Barbarian and Paladin and the set of mothers, Amazon and Assassin. And that the masculine values of the Particular and the Uniform should be interchangeable likewise but have the Necromancer and Druid (that should be considered next to the Sorceress) represented the value of Uniformity? Nothing like an Assassin has, that’s for sure. That’s because they don’t represent the value of Uniformity at all. And if we conclude that the hero that would fill the position next to the Sorceress would be 100% rooted in the warrior style but still be part of the Sorceress’ identity in terms of transformation, then why wouldn’t the fundamental values of this new kind of warrior exhibit their own unique manner of contrast? A contrast between being rooted in the pure warrior style of the Mother and the values of the hybrid Father? That’s what the missing Nagi archetype that I’ve showcased would do. A reignition of our value of diversity and contrast.

So now that we know that the Sorceress identity has been limited. The next question should be, has it been suppressed and stolen from? Of course. The Druid hides the double aspect of what the Sorceress would have became with Bear and Wolf aspects, and the Necromancer steals from her identity with Trang’s set.

Now just try to put yourself in to the shoes of evil and try to imagine what kind of win win you would get out of this. The young female liberal child, surrounded by what you also see at the character select screen can’t identify with herself, yet still being a dependent will have to identify with all the older males she is surrounded by.

Second, with the radical masculine value of particularity that should have been swappable with the moderate masculine value of uniformity from the mother’s role failing to be established, this means that the radical masculine spirit was isolated and cut from the moderate helping mother. This makes the radical masculine spirit out to look like a pure evil as well. But this “spirit of help” would surely aim to help children as that’s what breasts and mothers fundamentally aim to do.

Do you see what this is starting to add up to?

This is an agenda of desensitization so that men can get away with what they want out of the family by breaking the family in the way that they have the power to. Did I say men? More like nerdy selfish pride boys…

Now let’s go back to the character select screen and see how the “conservative motherly cow” fits in to the picture as a representation of a missing archetype that would have connected the Mothers back around in to the Children.

https://ibb.co/dsvmL5y6

And wow, look at that. It’s as if that we’ve not just been attacking an archetype from the role of the conservative(warrior) mothers, with those mothers being entirely pushed to the other end of the the situation surrounding the liberal female child, but that the attack on the cow represents a continued theme to keep the transition from the mother to the child severed.

This is like severing the circle twice in a row and with the same aim.

And is it a circle? Well the cow would be the 10th archetype as the bridge that starts back at 1.

It’s also worth pointing out for interest’s sake that all the mages in this game should have and would have been able to transform in one way or another. The Necromancer does(vampire), the Druid does and now we know that the Sorceress should be able to. That only leaves the Paladin left and we know that the next archetype that would have been put in to the game would have been a Cleric, which I’m pretty sure that the Paladin would have been able to transform in to in one way or another as well.

Also, here’s a timely video talking about how “navigating the iterations of the game” is key to the morality between objectivity and subjectivity that we should be valuing in this country.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96gekHrQCMo

“And so the pattern of morality that would be grounded in the objective world isn’t in the world of objective fact, it’s in the world of optimized iterability across people and contexts” - Jordan Peterson

In another way of looking at the situation it indicates that the Nagi would be associated with the soul and that there might actually be a diversity of contrasts going on between the concepts and fundamental stat patterns of the hero sets. The children seem to be the naturalists, the fathers seem to be the partisans and the mothers seem to be the contrarians.

I think it’s cool because this might literally be a successful soul searching mission.

Yes, once again you are one of the looniest of the looney tunes I have seen on these internets in a very long time. I might have to go back to the days of Usenet in the late 90s to match this level of whacked out.

Okay, we have completely lost cabin pressure.

Moving along…

Btw, there are a set of rules to what I am saying which archetype gets qualified for representation in these diagrams.
