For anyone who isn’t accessing the PTR, thought I’d toss some numbers so you can see how the pets are now.
With Ravens, both wolves, and bear at 20, with +12 skills, here’s how they look now.
Ravens: 5 ravens, 5 hits. Damage is 2246-2517, +1000% AP
Spirit Wolves: 1170 Health, 517-535 Cold Damage, +825% AP and +360% Defense
Dire Wolves: 2019 Health, 909-1065 Damage, +515% health, +448% defense
Grizzly: 5850 Health, 2679-2810 damage, +335% dmg
Going through Worldstone Keep in hell. Really impressed with the damage the ravens put out so far, but having to re-summon that often is a bit tedious. They’re certainly improved vastly though.
Spirit Wolves are holding their own, and rip through physical immunes pretty quickly.
Update: Grabbed a Fire merc from Act 3 to provide Enchant, and got a faith bow. Spirit Wolves + Ravens are tearing through Worldstone Keep. Enchant is adding about 250-300 fire damage per hit on top of the Spirit Wolves 500ish cold damage.
Update: Spirit Wolves and Ravens with Fire A3 Merc cleared throne of destruction with ease. Last wave was a bit slow, but I was never in any real danger.
Update: Baal was still slow, but even the Spirit Wolves were holding their own and not dying.
Current Thoughts: While the damage from the Wolves seems low, I think everyone (myself included) really underestimated just how strong the ravens are now. Spirit Wolves and Dire Wolves survivability seems vastly improved, and the cold damage really helped with physical immunes. I didn’t even touch the grizzly.
My plan (right now) on live launch is to do 20 into Raven, Spirit Wolves, Dire Wolves, Grizzly, and Oak Sage. I had +12 to skills, and saw about 2.5k damage per hit. On live, I’ll be closer to +20, so that damage will be even higher. Really liked the Act 3 fire merc too. Damage wasn’t bad, but Enchant really seemed to help too. If anything, it’s something new and different to use, and would be reliable budget build.
