2.4 Runewords now available on Non-ladder?

I am not gaslighting anyone, but I do have to wonder why someone who does not seem to be disappointed by the decision not to move the new runeworrds to non-ladder feels the need to defend the developers. And I do not think this thread would exist if people did not have a expectation that new runewords would move to Non Lader.

After the Diablo III crap, and the lousy Diablo Immortal, I will wait at least six months after D4 will be released, and check forums.
D3 was a complete and utter disappointment, and Immortal is a rip off.
I do not trust them anymore. This broken promise is another good reasonā€¦

Err not really. LO-RW were never available in sp without mods in legacy.

In this case the devs specifically stated that the new 2.4 RW would be available to create in NL once S1 ended.

So thatā€™s why people are not expecting them to act like the legacy LO-RW which only could be gotten on NL via trading after roll over.

Yupp. It is what it is.

Hope this was an oversight and they will fix it and let us have the Ladder RW we were promised at the end of S1

No, they stated that they be available and will carry over to nl, they never said outright that we can make them after season one ends. They should have said Ladder only Runewords will simply exist on nl, not available to create on nl. Its always been this way people! They spoiled us at launch with Ladder only content on nl. It was only unlocked because Ladder wasnā€™t ready yet. I expect Ladder only content to carry over to nl at seasons end and nothing else.

All it really proves is they donā€™t get it. Many people did not like how it used to work and were really looking forward to the change, At worst, they lied; at best, they did a crap job communicating how they planned on managing LO runewards. I hope they see their mistake and the real opportunity they have to build goodwill.

Yeah Iā€™m a little salty about that too, they definitely should have clarified in advance that the new runewords would not be makeable on non-ladder seeing as no new runewords were being brought to the new ladder.

They announced it a few hours prior to the ladder starting but I found neither of my characters had a socket quest left. Iā€™d already made a flickering flame but really wanted a mist.
:disappointed:

Check the quote that has been posted, it very clearly says created in NL. If that quote is not actually true then I agree.

They Posted it, they mentioned it in a dev interview, all of the above.

I got a high stat 6 skill mb mist you may have. Its a little underwhelming I must say but looks cool. The fire skill tree is garbage, gotta warn you now. Ice is already available for frozen arrow and is definately the superior option. They really should have made mist geared towards ama fire skills imo, the 6 skills doesnt cut it!

Thatā€™s a shame. Would flickering flame make it any better or still garbage?
Thanks for the offer, I tend to prefer finding my own gear but Iā€™ll give it some thought. :+1:

Got both and at lvl 40 exploding arrow is just over 3k fire, immolation is a little over 3.5k. If you want a good fire build, the paladin is amazing with kuko bow! I noticed this after going through the trouble of making flickering flame anf mist. You see, kuko has exploding arrow on attack and transfers holy fire 100%, also has 50% pierce. My hf kuko pally clears hell cows so fast! With a full game even. He does 9k fire damage. Its funny that the pally is a better amazon then the amazon!

Nice one, got any video of your pally by chance?
Iā€™ve got an old pre-ladder bowazon that needs some work so I was gonna re-spec and put some ladder gear on her. Maybe Iā€™ll change her to a javazon and get a pally bowa instead, I love a good ranged character and if itā€™s particularly good at clearing cows that sounds banginā€™

No video but his gear is super ez! I suggest act 3 fire merc because it has high lvl chant and does decent dmg! You dont need flickering flame, a 3 sock helm with fire facets would yield more damage.

If you actually read announcements - you would know how wrong you are.

The non ladder playerbase is HUGE.

And the Devs are DUMB AF if they prevent them of getting their hands on.

Shouldnā€™t the game make fun to play?

but, ladder 1 finished. characters, including items on them, and in the stash, moved to non ladder, right?!?!?! So, if someone had ladder only runeword, it is now in non-ladder.
But we canā€™t make anymore new?!?!?!?!

For the time being that is how it is.

Ladder is a competative subset of the community who likes to grind against each other. I played ladder season one when they announced the new rune words. Combined with the 2.4 skill rebalances they opened up some very interesting build options. Now, I ended up building 6 characters in ladder season one and none of them made it past level 91. However, I tracked down a lot of the new rune words and tried them out and found that several builds are much more powerful with them. Now, that the season is over I have roughly 2 dozen of the new rune words put together and in storage from those characters.

I see a lot of non-ladder players whining that if they want a ladder rune word, they are running expensive. For example, a flicker flame or plague for example are trading for a jah or ber rune. I have 4 of each of them on my characters from season one. My point here is not that I am special and it sucks to be a non ladder player. In fact if Blizzard moved these rune words to being able to be made on non ladder tomorrow I would have no issue with it at all.

It takes about 20 to 30 hours for most players to begin from a fresh start to have a character who can farm comfortably on the hell difficulty for most experienced players. So, if you want some of the ladder only content them come over and play ladder for a little bit. Build a farming character, like a cold sorceress or a find item barbarian and put in the time to hunt them down. Alternatively, you could just trade for the components and mash them together. Once, your done you can bank them and wait until January when season 2 should end and then youā€™ll have them. Alternatively, you can build the character you want them for on ladder and play around with the new toys there. I had a ton of fun doing that in season one and itā€™s a good way to experience another part of the gameā€™s meta.
