Well it went off the rails when it seemed to go towards money and jealousy, you constantly get triggered about how poor everyone else has to be and how rich and knowledgeable with return policies you are. So I guess you internalized it first.
Or, you responded to something that wasn’t directed to you because it hit too close to home.
There’s that too
I get that you want to take advantage of your hardware, but it’s kind of ridiculous to expect anyone to support such an extreme aspect ratio, particularly when ultrawide users are literally only 1% of the market (source: latest Steam hardware survey).
Don’t care. Don’t play then.
You will not be handed that advantage just for having a bigger screen.
This isn’t an extreme aspect ratio. It’s the standard ratio for movies in movie theaters and most modern titles support it natively. The only games I don’t see easily supported are blizzard games. Games that are wayyyyy more competitive than anything blizzard has ever made supports ultrawide. It isn’t about being competitive or having an advantage. It’s about not having ugly black bars and enjoying a full immersive experience. They could even fix it so you can’t cast outside of the 16:9 space. I don’t really care. If this game were single player offline only I’d still want support for it.
It dont will be nerved for 100%, you will see. Buy a 16:9 Monitor? For what i should spend money for a low life monitor with a totally bad view in most games?
Good thing you aren’t in charge of anything and your voice counts for nothing. They support 19:9 which gives me an advantage over you AND gives me black bars. NEITHER of us get exactly what we want. The difference between 21:9 and 19:9 is miniscule. The only thing it does is puts small small black bars on my screen. It won’t affect my ability to do anything in the game. So with that said, I already have a advantage over you with 19:9. Don’t like that? Don’t play it.
All these kids on the forum like FaZe just announced a d2 squad
then hf with the black bars and 19:9
ty man, i will. all above 16:9 is such a quality changer in terms of gaming. You should try it, really
So now I have to buy a new monitor for this game to stay competitive in pvp. Thats just stupid. This company…
Nope i already upgraded and never intended to get 21:9, because i wanted 2 monitors and 2 of those wouldn’t fit. Anyway, we will get a lot of feedback after launch from pvp etc.
They can’t keep the solution right now with 19:9, because you still have a huge advantage in pvp and group play. So there will be some kind of nerf. Either only available in singleplayer, streching or biggers bars or whatever. At least right now i won’t be bothered by some ugly bars lol.
roughly 9% more stuff on either side, and someone with a 16:9 monitor could use a 19:9 aspect ratio to eliminate the difference.
to put that into perspective that’s less than the width of the character
a pixel more is enough to throw the balance off. If you can see the other player sooner than he can see you you are at a huge advantage. no matter how many pixels it is in the end.
And I have no idea if you will even get to choose a resolution not supported by your monitor.
I personally wouldn’t mind having forced legacy mode for pvp gmes so everybody gets the same 4:3 resolution with black bars and a huge indicator that pvp was enabled on top of it.
I love how we got a huge increase in overall screen visibility from the original, the devs have clearly stated UW breaks the games AI and yet there is STILL constant complaining as if any of it is valid. We get to see a ton of extra space on each side already, but you aren’t satisfied if you can’t see an extra foot in each direction and cheat monsters and other players from a distance? lolwut.
might want to cap the fps on the pvp games too then.
i like this idea it keeps the balance the same as live d2lod and doesn’t affect pvm games.
you can force a custom resolution in the display software and the game will just use whatever your “native” resolution is i was able to do it for the beta to see what 21:9 looked like on my 3:2 surface book 3
They can and they will. Mark my words. Its already stated in a blue blizzard post and blizzard knows D2…
I mean, most players dont care about PvP. Only a “hand full” of this hardcore purists. Thats it.
A lot of players will care for pvp , because that is a huge part of the endgame. If ladder won’t be exclusive, just a race , NL will be very populated and markets oversaturated within a couple of months. Now, if you have a group with 19:9 monitores, who abuse their advantage in pvp, guess what drama you will have here. And that’s exactly what’s gonna happen. 19:9 will be nerfed, one way or the other. What the blizz staff mentioned is worth zero, they don’t even know what they’re saying , they will learn it the hard way.
They know, 100 percent. Its the same as we switched from 4:3 to 16:9. “ohhh no i cant win anymore in 4:3, please nerf 16:9 crap!” Now, years later, nobody cares about 4:3…
They don’t know, they screwed D3 and they will scew D4 and judging the beta of D2R, which i played for 20 hours, the lobby is a mess and the game is full of bugs. Decisions like bringing ladder only content to NL is another punch in the face. They don’t know sh1t, what the Diablo franchise needs. Stop talking…
You are delusional, 16:9 is the standard size for monitors since years, and they had to adapt their game to that format. Maybe one day 21:9 will be the new standard, but for Diablo rfight now this is gamebraking even 19:9.
It is clear that you have an ultra wide monitor and you just can’t cope with the fact that you wasted your money.
I wasted my money because i can play 95% all of my games in 21:9? THAT is a waste of money? You really think i buy my 21:9 monitor for D2RE? lol… i had my 21:9 monitor before we got a announcement for D2RE…
Ladder items for non ladder is one of the best changes ever by the way ![]()
