2002 Viper GTS vs 2022 Mustang GT

Which do you prefer? Help me decide!

just get a honda civic. save on gas.

toyota corrolas are nice too.

or how about. a food truck, chicks love food trucks.

I’d prefer you didn’t post this irrelevant car comparison in the D2R forums.

Already got a 2019 crv for the wife, this one is for me :sunglasses:.

wouldn’t need a wife or a CRV if you had a food truck tho.

I rate the Viper in terms of looks:

Front: 4/5 - Pretty nice, still holds up
Side: 5/5 - Iconic, still looks badass in 2022
Rear: 2.5/5 - bland

Mustang 2022 in terms of looks:
Hasn’t upgraded much in the past 10 years, so there isn’t much of a a wow factor here. Also wasn’t impressed with the interior, hasn’t changed much.

But the thing with Mustangs is you can make them look badass with modifications.

I don’t know if that’s too over the top, but you can make a sick mother f***er.

I would most likely go with the Mustang 2022 just for overall comfort. I don’t know if I would feel comfortable in being in an older interior these days. But the best thing to do would be to test drive both and go with intuition. Also pictures don’t really do them justice. Maybe if I saw the Viper IRL I would want it.

The are amazing looking for sure! Gen 2 is very close to a current stang gt performance wise.

V10 > V8 so, Viper, always. Although it’s pretty much a crapbox in every aspect except for the engine. You’re literally just driving a big v10 engine with wheels. Car looks awesome though. I had the opportunity to drive the Viper R/T 1992 and it was terrifying and awesome. The gear shifter was horrible though, way too easy to put it on 5th instead of 3rd because of the way it’s positioned. The exhausts end under the two doors, so the interior of the car gets very hot. I don’t know if later models carry those issues.
