Hello Diablo Fans
Today I’d like to share the tale of what is turning into my traditional way of starting the season: Frozen Orb/Hydra Sorc and running Andariel 1000 times.
I keep track of my runs on notepad paper using tally marks. I divide the page in half and put the tally marks on the left and I put a dot on the tick mark if I find something noteworthy, and then I write what I found on the right side. Here is what I found:
Run 57: Duriels Shell (finally something)
Run 68: Goreriders (only pair the entire run glad I didnt trade them)
Run 97: Vex dropped! – Rolled a 30 hoto 
Run 109: SOJ baby (at this point I was quite invigorated)
Run 133: 30 Nagel, razortail, and Frostburn in the same run, and it was my first death on that same run! I rejoined game and picked up my gold. Glad I did.
Run 158: Raven Frost (I made a KILLING trading away raven frosts)
Run 219: 28 Gheeds (I made a killing trading these too omfg…)
Run 229: Raven Frost again
Run 258: Trap skiller with +30 to life (Still has not traded… wtf is it worth?? Not even ist offered)
Run 259: 38 Gheeds
Run 261: Tgods (People throw ists away for these…)
Run 263: Tals Ammy! Damn right!!
*Tals became an ohm rune and shortly after I had a 6BO/5BC CTA Im not even bsing.
Run 272: 4% BK Ring – later traded this straight up for Highlords because Andy wasn’t giving me one.
Run 275: Fire skiller +4 dex
Run 297: Another Raven Frost
Run 342: First magefists I found all run. Didnt make note of all of them.
Run 385: Vamp Gaze. Super nice find actually the merc stopped dying after this point. Most of the time.
Run 422: Occy – quick ist!
Run 444: Tgods – quick ist or mal or w/e people eat it up!
Run 487: Goldwrap – first one.
Run 499: Goldwrap – item seeding game mechanic seeming apparent here
Run 525: Aldurs Booties – quick sale ez
Run 537: First Jalals – didnt make note of future ones but again item seeding apparent with how these just started dropping.
Run 539: Tals belt
Terrorized Run 540: Crown of Thieves
Terrorized Run 565: Arachnid mesh off Andy baby!! She does drop a lot of spiderweb sashes but as you may know it can’t be an Arachs unless shes terrorized.
Run 570: Goldwrap
Run 578: Another goldwrap.
Run 636: Vipermagi – Finally! Rolled 22 / 9
Run 655: Chancies. First and only pair in 1000 runs and it rolled 39mf.
Run 664: Tals Belt – This one rolled perfect and I sold it to a drunk guy who gave me a 2/2 CTA for it which I just flipped for ohm. The guy just assumed I was poor… I didn’t feel the need to convince him otherwise.
Run 715: 21 Gheeds
Run 769: G Face – Finally I had been looking for that and I found 2 Valkyrie Wings in a row previously
Run 823: Occy – people trade ist for this and they are so happy… I often add a “congrats, enjoy” after saying “thx for trade” just to relish in it… I know I am sick.
Run 859: I found my first… Peasant Crown. RNG in this game is silly.
Run 920: My first Alibab. I wanted one earlier but at this point I didnt care.
Run 922: Deaths Sash – cool item
Run 935: Another Gface. I like that item I hate to have to trade for it.
at this point you may notice there are big gaps between numbers! Stuff was not dropping! I never found my shako but we had a strong finish…
Run 964: 38 gheeds. It became an ohm rune quickly. Its funny because I accept the trade on traderie and then dont get a response for 5-10 mins no doubt because the person is acquiring an ohm illicitly off of a certain web site (see in game advertisements for further information)
and finally… Run 1000: nothing off Andy but I stuck around and full cleared her room to celebrate and a pack at the back gave me a 36 gheeds. aka a quick ohm rune.
The first 500 compared to the last 500 is quite a contrast! Call me superstitious, but I wonder if it has something to do with my level. I found crazy magic items to start the runs around level 78. I had magic boots with 31 mf and 29 cold res, and a rare amulet with 13 allres, 25mf, and 17 dex! But right after I found the arachnids I hit level 85 in that terror zone and the drops dried right up!
So… the last piece of the story I should mention is how I would sell all the “lesser items” like rockstopper, tals mask, magefist, goldwrap, etc for perfect amethyst. I have about 65 perfect amethyst now. And its just growing in value!
