Me and my girlfriend are planning on going to Blizzcon. I bought two tickets on my Tixr account. For badge pickup can I pick them both up for me and her? Is it ok to change the name of one of the tickets to her name, still under my Tixr account, would I still be able to pick it up? Do the names on the ticket matter or even show up on the badge? Also if she wants to link her ticket to her Blizzard account she needs her own Tixr account correct? Is it possible to transfer the ticket to her after badge pickup to avoid making it harder by having both single tickets separate on two Tixr accounts? Would appreciate help with this.
We’ll have some more information coming closer to the show regarding the process and requirements for picking up badges. So keep an eye out for that!
I can answer:
No, she does not need her own Tixr account to link the BlizzCon Pass to her Battle.net Account. She would only need the Email Address for the Tixr account (presumably your email) and the serial number of the specific BlizzCon Pass. Each of the Passes on your Tixr account will have a unique serial number.
Can you please clarify if we can just edit the name on the ticket to our spouse instead of having to transfer it to them?
You can edit the names.
You can edit the name on a BlizzCon Pass 1 time in Tixr. The name on the Pass must match the name on the ID of the person who is picking up the Pass.
So if I purchased two BlizzCon passes under one order and my name/ID match the order, am I able to pick up both badges myself? If so, will my partner have any issue entering if the name on their badge is a shortened version of their legal name (for example, “Alex” instead of “Alexander”), or is ID checked against the badge name at entry? If there are issues with this what can be done if I used the one name change?
No, the name on the Order is not what is checked. It’s the name that appears on the individual BlizzCon Pass. If the Pass is under your name then you are able to redeem it and receive the Badge and Wristband as well as the commemorative items.
You would then be responsible for making sure the other person receives the items. The badge and wristband are what is used to enter BlizzCon on Saturday and Sunday.
The badges themselves do not have names printed on them. ID is checked when you are redeeming your BlizzCon Pass.
Okay so both passes can be under my name then? If I already changed the name and used the one time name change, how can I fix this? The name on the second pass isn’t their government name on their ID, but a shortened version they go by, so would they even be able to redeem it?
You won’t be able to change it back if you’ve already used the 1 time name change to update it.
We would recommend transferring the Pass to them, and it will inherit the name on their Tixr account.
Common shortenings / obviously shortened names should be fine as long as the last name still matches. For example:
Benjamin Jones being shortened to Ben Jones will be fine
Franklin Moore being shortened to Frank Moore will be fine
Where you may encounter issues is if you use an online persona instead of the name. Krusher99 instead of John Smith isn’t going to be accepted and additional verification during registration may become necessary.
Two questions, both are similar situations:

I purchased Blizzcon passes for myself and for my son. He is only 13 and doesn’t have an ID. I already transferred the ticket to his TIXR account and he linked the pass to his Battle.net account. Now the ticket is in his name. And he doesn’t have an ID. Should he edit the attendee name on his ticket in TIXR and change it back to my name, so that I can present my ID and pick up both passes?

I transferred a third Blizzcon Pass to a friend, who has accepted the transfer in TIXR and linked to his Battle.net account. He cannot attend on Friday to pick up the pass, but I can. Can he edit the attendee name back to mine, and I can just pick up all the passes myself?
If you are with him and have the same last name then this likely will not be a problem during registration. Just explain that you are his parent and present your ID.
Alternatively, if you want you can have your son Return the transferred Pass to you. This will reset the Pass to it’s original state under your name and under your Tixr account. If the Pass is returned, it will become unlinked from your son’s Battle.net Account. He will need to go through the linking process again, this time using the details from your Tixr account.

- Serial ID of the BlizzCon Pass on your Tixr account
For a non-relative and for the safety of attendees, we prefer that they keep the Pass on their account and registered under their name. Registration on Saturday will be open at 7:00 AM (PT) which should provide plenty of time to pick up the badge before opening ceremony.
I am willing to bet 100$ that big Blizzy ends up regretting not doing badge pickup hours the day before Blizzcon official. There’s a reason all big conventions do it.

Friday is all for registration, the day before BlizzCon begins. Registration is open at the following times:
- Friday, September 11 – 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. PDT
- Saturday, September 12 – 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PDT
- Sunday, September 13 – 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PDT
We definitely recommend going through registration on Friday if possible.
What time will security be open on Friday? 
If you plan on lining up before BlizzCon opens to gain access as early as possible, the Grand Plaza, attendee staging areas, and security checkpoints will open at 6:00 a.m. PDT on both Saturday and Sunday.

- If all three tickets for my group are purchased under my Tixr account and haven’t been transferred, can I pick up all badges/wristbands with my own ID in Friday without my friends being there? The name for all of the tickets is my own. I heard from someone that the attendant might not give the badges/wristbands to me if the person it’s intended for is not there.
- Do I need to do a name change for their badge? If so, can this be done Friday when I pick the badges up? Will I need a photo of their IDs?

For the safety of attendees at BlizzCon we would prefer that the Passes are transferred and under the names of the people who will be attending and using them. However, if the Passes are all under your name and you have the ID that matches then you will be able to redeem all of those Passes during registration.
It will then be your responsiblity to ensure your fellow attendees receive their badges, wristbands, and commemorative items. We will not issue replacements if lost.
Any transfers or name changes should be done before you reach registration. If the names are changed you will not be able to pick them up using your ID. Once the badges are redeemed, they cannot bew transferred. They’re considered checked-in and locked.
